But the 1 point could in some cases where you have to work from cover, or a class that doesn't have charge. I can see it being of use, as long as there is not some other bonus skill you'd want.

Yeah, i thought that myself too, till i realized, that you loose the Bonus when you loose your Shields; and when playing on Insane that happens veery fast! ^^
Also the Shield-upgrades have a 12 Second Cooldown, so you either:
- cant use our Main-Powers for about 10-12 Seconds
- or need to always precast it (thus shortening your Time to about 50 Seconds at least; and also its very annoying...)
For my Soldier it was even pointless, because his "Hardened Adrenaline Rush" gave him 50%DR and was 3-times faster in recharging.
But thats ofc personal Playingstyle

Thats because its a biotic ability. Therefore you can get the biotic cooldown and biotic duration upgrades. Fortification is a combat ability so it doesn't get the same armor bonuses.sinosleep wrote...

I know, which means it's useless. It can't possibly be working as intended. I mean, why bother having it as a bonus ability if it's a gimped version of barrier (gets biotic bonuses) and geth shield boost (gets tech bonuses, geth shield bonuses, AND 10% damage bonus on one version)?

I did my tests at the blood pack base with all the vorcha. It shut off just like all the others.

Base shields are 258.
Go to 320 with fortification.
1 point in fortify.
Insanity mode.
You can also see the graphic does not shut off as well.

Yeah, your buggy. But don't feel bad, I used to able to boost my shields with Energy Drain instead of restore them. I really wish the bug would come back...it made ED so much more fun.gr00grams wrote...

I've noticed the shield color too.
Another thing;
Adepts shields don't say shield.
They say 'barrier'.
My soldier says shields.
Perhaps there is a resistance system in this game?
