removing all skills from ABI_base and adding your own

i've tried to simply make an XLS document that is called the same thing as ABI_rules and then putting the GDA in my override folder with three skills (stealth, poision making and a spell). The result is just a black screen where the skills should be in character generation when it's time to pick a skill. i was hoping that only the skills i put in my own ABI_rules document would show up. anyone knows what i'm doing wrong?

work your way backwards. ie instead of go directly to the wanted result. start by replacing existing one by one and when that is working remove any excess skills.



if you do it one step at a time it's easy to know what step that went wrong.

well i did the same thing but removed only persuasion from the override ABI_rules xls file and everything dissapeared again so the reason that everything dissapears is probably that my override GDA file has the same name as the ABI_rules.xls file in the game. The problem is that i can add skills to the skills that are choosen at character generation but i don't know how to remove things the preexisting skills without screwing everything up.
