this problem seems to only affect people with recently updated email addresses. this includes new accounts (created in the last few months) and long-term users who've simply changed their email address. if you are a long-time user, changing your email back to the original seems to fix the problem (according to others on the forums), while newer users (like myself) are out of luck until the problem is solved.

I actually haven't changed my e-mail since I first made an account with Bioware's forum/social system, so I'm not entirely certain that that is true.

For me it's definitely not a new account or changed e-mail issue. I joined before DA was launched, and before I got this issue I hadn't changed my e-mail at all. I did try after though, as I talked to someone who got the same issue fixed a while ago by doing just that - but that didn't work for me.

Wow, it finally worked for me! Goodness knows why, but it let me buy the points and I now have shiny new DLC. I'm pleased but confused. Unless they took one look at my snarky email and fixed it PDQ!

Funny how, after Tech Support told me to just try a different computer (HA!), I log back in with Chrome (chrome doesn't work, use Firefox 2.0) on the same computer (wait, you didn't delete the java something or another that is on my script!) and hit the add points button (stop, please don't prove tech support was wrong!) and it just worked.
