So I just beat insanity twice, once with an adept and once with an infiltrator. I would like to play through the game again as a renegade, but none of the class descriptions really intrest me.
I have beaten ME1 many times so I am not new to the game/lore. I just would like something that would be fun and very different from the other two classes I have already played.
Thanks in advance for anyone that throws in their two cents.

Vanguard is probably the most "different".

Vanguard if you're feeling Badass, Sentinel if you're feeling like being a commander.

I played for around twenty minutes on vanguard, but the rush seemed ineffective. I don't know if i was doing it two often, my armor isn't good enough yet, or I am just an idiot, but out of that twenty minutes I died like 4-5 times on parts that before had been no problem at all. I'll probably end up doing a vanguard.

Charge takes some getting used to
And I know there's some better vanguards out there that use it before upgrading, but I avoided using it until it was 3rd tier. (with a couple points in passive).

Sentinel or Engineer for Insanity mainly because these will be more tactical and Power oriented than Weapons
Vanguard if you know how to use Charge of course

If you want it to be more of a RP Renegade character, Vanguard might be the best bet. I, personally, would go with an Engineer for the tactical experience. However, its playstyle is probably most similar to that of an Adept and is focus heavily on control and combinations. Regardless, Engineers are truly enjoyable and I am just finishing my second run as one through Insanity (First one was done on Hardcore). I intend on playing an Adept next.
If you are curious about Vanguards and you want to exploit the Biotic charge to its full potential, then take a look at this link. Thisisme8 has put together a great guide and has recently included videos to better explain the Vanguard class.

try it with vanguard. Im currently playing my second time through as a renegade vanguard. I admit it was frustrating to get use to charge attacks, then dying after charging on the higher difficulties. But right now at level 20 its pretty damn satisfying syncing my charges and knowing who to charge, using the submachine guns to tear down shields/armor then charge blasting someone over a cliff. On top of that, charge recharges your shields (pun intended). so low one health and no shields? ironically charge can save your life. give it a try. plus since you played as an adept there is shockwave and lift that will help you.
