Tali / Legion argument

Why is that? Sure I can tell Legion afterwards I lied to Tali and gain back his loyality - but I love Tali and don't want that to fall back on me somewhen. I believe it does have any negative effect on the relationship to Tali in ME 3.
My suspicions are that there is wether any past event that disables this option or boosting the renegade meter with Commando or Shocktrooper doesn't count as "real" renegade points.
Can anyone help me out?

I think that even if your Renegade and Paragon meters are full, it doesnt mean that you have maxed out the points. I have a faint memory that when checking with savegame editor your points still keeps raising beyond max as you do the good/bad deeds.
If this is so, then its a slight overlook from Biowares part that causes confusion. But you could try using the savegame editor, give yourself an hefty amount of renegade points extra and see if the renegade option opens up. If not, then its definetly bugged.

Yeah I have never had a problem doing Jack/Miranda paragon.

Much like Mordin's 'random' deaths not being a bug.

No, it's not bugged, it's just easier as Paragon. The Jack/Miranda fight is easier as Renegade.

Tali: Yes I know but,
Shepard: And legion are you trying to undermine this entire operation.
Legion: We did not intend to decrease operation efficentcy.
Shepard: Were on a mission you can either fight at my side or be crushed under my heel but you will Not stand in my way.
Quote/edit fail. but the point is there

I think the game was short changing me on Ren points anyway. Saving the base for Cerberus earned me +19 but the usual is about +30. No idea why I got less. Maxed passive skill (Agent).

I'm in the middle of a pure renegade playthrough right now - basically everything renegade I can do I will do. See if that will do anything.

Could it be the reason The renegade option isn't there is because my paragon level is too high?
I have hard time figuring that Bioware would program a thing like that to screw the charming system over...
In any case, if anyone wants to see the "Darth Shepards" renegade solution to Tali/Legion argument, here is a video.

^Did you do an ME1 import with that playthrough? The meters from the first game give you an enormous paragon/renegade bonus.
Yep I did. As I've said I have a full renegade meter.
I've played the game as I wanted it and didn't try to avoid paragon points. Basically I was nice to my friends and bad to strangers or ****s and ended up with full renegade and slightly less than half paragon. And now I can't use the preferd option because I let too many paragon points happen? That bothers me a lot tbh

You can side with Tali, and reason with Legion afterwards. Same thing with Miranda/Jack. Side on Miranda and you can later reason with Jack (on my second playthrough had to do this). Perhaps they work otherway around too, havent tried.
