Do you mean Shiala? Shiala, while it would be awesome, probably won't be because if you don't import an ME1 game in which you saved her, she doesn't appear at all.TOBY FLENDERSON wrote...
Shial is strongly hinted at during her quest
Maybe Gianna Parasini
Kal'Reeger would be great
Same goes for Gianna Parasini. Would've been nice to have her as as squaddie, but she doesn't appear unless you import. She'd probably be kind of useless anyway, but I enjoy our brief encounters.
You can loose all squadmembers at ME 2, does this mean none of them will return? I don't think so. Shiala and Gianna are two of my favorite npcs (Gianna is still #1 LI for me;) ), but I also wouldn't expect them to be members of the crew (saddly).

Gianna is a cool character and all, but nothing about her screams squad material. Experience busting white collar criminals does not qualify her to save the galaxy from an evil hoard of living ships.
Besides, if you're really ruthless in ME1 you can rat her out and she'll die.

It's impossible to make everyone happy. But I would like it if we were able to recruit 10-12 companions again and were able to choose between (almost) every living ME1/ME2 squadmate and maybe 2-4 important new ones.
Probably won't even happen, as some people left most of them to die and their game would be seriously lacking.

I dunno if they would put aria in or not with wrex. That might cause some tension, unless its sorta like a gg/wp ole chap kind of reunion lol.
What does aria have to do with wrex? I never saw mention of her and wrex.

The theory that many believe, including myself, is that Aria is the asari that Wrex told the story about in ME1.

Since Liara was my first love, I wouldn't say no to her either. But alas, she seems too busy and became too much a businesswoman. Her first action had been to sell my corpse to Cerberus.
Of course this led me to Miranda's arms, so I must be thankful. However she didn't know this then.

Depending on how they worked with the imports people that don't have many people surviving could get more new squadmates. They could do it, and it would encourage people to play with an imported file and not.

This thread was a disappointment as I thought there would already be a new article about the ME universe, lol. As for new squaddies, maybe a few, but I would really prefer developing the stories of who we have now. You already have the best team in the galaxy, supposedly, so now Shepard recruits second best?
The problem with the current crew is that none of them are guaranteed to be alive for ME3. Both story- and implementation-wise it would be difficult for Bioware to handle. The simplest solution is to make a whole new squad for Shepard.
if your squad mates die that is the price you pay in ME 3. Honestly, you have to TRY to get most of your squad killed or be really bad at reading.
Easiest solution does not always equate to best for story. The easiest solution was to make none of your characters killable, in that case, but that wouldn't be exciting story wise.

I would be incredibly happy to see Shiala as Squadmate and Love Interest in ME3. There was an interesting theory here in the forum regarding her green color and the (terrible) option to kill her in ME1. Even if you killed her in ME1 (which would be a galactic crime

Aria is 99% in ME3. Remember the package delivery assignment? Don't deliver them to the Salarian guy. Then you will notice that the assignment is still active. Most people think it is a glitch. To me, it is to be concluded in ME3. If you have already delivered the package then be prepared for Aria's wrath
I convinced the Salarian to move on and spare himself the trouble.

Kal Reeger naturally should be recruitable. I mean I'd take 'recruit Kal Reeger' DLC for ME2 even.
I also like the idea of Captain Bailey. Not just because of his awesome VO, but something about him strikes me as being really interesting to see in an expanded role. Maybe go the whole homage route and make him the next XO?
Aria... Could work but not sure it fits. She has lived a long time and I don't see what she would bring to the 'Asari' role that we havn't already seen. Having a cynical life weary info broker Liara would be more interesting to me.
There are others, like Parasini and Shiala etc. However I think they work best as Bioware have utilised them: As cool cameos.
Big no on Kolyat, why recruit someone with no experience anyway? Just because of Thane I guess. Still, i'm not expecting a huge time gap between 2 and 3 so I don't see that going anywhere.
I still want a Volus party member after seeing that guy in Samara's recruitment mission though!

Grunt has his clan to help, Samara has her Justicar duty, Legion will probably need to return to the Geth space in order to coordinate defenses, Mordin may be too old by ME3, or needed in the STGs again and Zaeed was just a mercenary to begin with.

That's certainly the theory I believe.
I think Aria as a squadmate would be great. However, I'm not sure how well she would take to following orders. Also, I'd prefer to have Wrex back in ME3.
What might be interesting is a DLC involving a reunnion between Aria (if she is Aleena) and Wrex.

Kal'Reegar was awesome, loved him, but there's the whole "we Quarians get wounded too easily" thing.
No Kolyat. It would be a dis-service to all his father did for us.
I've no doubt in my mind that our only squad member in ME3 will be Conrad Verner.

Thanks, I forgot to say that. I mean the assignment is not completed even after scaring the Salarian away though you still receive some of the credits. It is completed only if you deliver the packages to the Salarian.

Wrex is essnetially king of krogan kind and is essentialy Dragging the Krogan Kicking and screaming into the Mass Effect era, he has better thigns to do
Aria has a massive pimp pad and shed laod of cash andn a cushy apartment, she coudl get a squad together hereself... (also there is no proof that she is the Asari commando that wrex mentions, although it woudl be cool. Just cause she is a fairly old Asari about 800 i think, who also happens to have been a Commando and a mercenary)
Why would eithe rof them help sheppard? Aria has no loyalty anda cushy spot and Wrex has his 'mission'
they are both not smart ideas.
Kal'reager is another od one, cause tiher he is dead or he is loyal and unquestioning (he even says that it isn't his place or somthign similar at one pooint) soldier of the Migrant fleet so its highly unlikely he would leave..
there aren't that many character who pop up in this game who coudl make the jump from to chatty NPC to Party NPC.
the only oen i think is likely is Liara.
and in all honesty you don't really cross paths with any mercenaries or other agents who would eb skilel denough to join you (aparty form the masses you gun down during your missions)
the only oen whcih come sot mind is the BAtarian BLue suns mechanic btu he is so minor and you know a Batarian...

Kolyat not sure, because you have the power of decide (sorta) about his fate.
now Aria, well, that's a possibility.
there's also Liara & Wrex since they aren't playable in ME2.
And Ashley/Kaiden.
