I'd love to see Anderson as a squadmate. Just for the last mission. He says he's had enough of pushing papers and wants to get back to the action where he belongs.

Playing through ME2.......for a tenth time ( I know.....this is bad lol ) I get to Omega and suddenly remember a statement Casey Hudson made regarding ME2. He said we will see a few new people in ME2 who will be squadmates in ME3. I would search for that interview, but I don't feel like going throu all of them right now. Anyway, looking at the level of detail from some of the characters, I'm thinking two of those future Squadmates are Aria, and Kolyat. What about you guys & girls? Image IPB

I think Aria is Wrex's old merc friend that he fought to a draw because of some of the dialog when talking about her past.

Yes, The "Biotic God" is a must, as well as the "Irrashimase"-Chef.

The two Krogan "Fish-Guys" would surely make a good addition (like Humpty and Dumpty).

And the "Old" Asari Bartender could use some action as well!

Emily Wong or Kalissah bin Seenan Al Jilani (spelling?) can defeat Reapers with hard hitting journalist tech and Kalissah can take a punch . . . or two. Bring them in as squadmates.

Jenna the former Chora's den bartender should definitely be in ME3. As a waitress in the new Normandy SR3's mess hall.

Could they find the atomized remains of Kaiden/Ashley on Virmire and go project Lazarus on them? If so, then let's bring back the original crew.

We'll definitely get an Asari in the team, ME just wouldn't be the same without one. But I do have a very strong hunch how it's going to be someone else than Aria. Someone we've met before, and Liara won't like who it turns out to be.

also peopel still arne't thinkign about the roles certain characters still have in ME2. ARIA and Wrex for example! they ain't going anywhere.. AN dreally shouldn't regardless of what their fanbases mnay think. sleeping with aria i wouldn't be averse to she looks like she could jsut nejoy some down time. But joingin your crew? No way....

^Too bad he was turned into reaper dust when you killed him, not much salvagable material there. :(

I want Aria on my squad, and romance-able. My shepard has stayed single for both games
I doubt Kal'Reegar will be available since its possible for him to die.

I'd love to either have Aria on my team. Or duke it out with her.

Kal'Reegar FTW!

Who knows, maybe the biotic god really has godly biotic powers

If Conrad Verner does return I'd like the option to shoot him in the face this time.

I'd love it if the stories are planned out in such a way that at some points you must choose who to have on your team. Tali vs. Kal'Reegar, Aria vs. Samara etc. It'd make the story so much more engaging.

By the way, on Kolyat: je wouldn't be an assassin/infiltrator type. He's under the guidance of C-Sec now, so expect him to be something more Soldier like. He's still young, so C-Sec could even turn him into a techie. Simply don't expect him to become a Thane-clone.

Now for other squadmates:

A lot of squadmates are, depending on how you went through ME1 and/or ME2, possibly still alive. It is possible that our pool of accessible squadmates is around 15, maybe even 20 per player character in ME3, but that different player characters have entirely different pools to pick from. A player character who progressed all the way from ME1 may have access to Ashley as a squadmate, while a player who started in ME2 or ME3 may only have access to Kaiden in a cameo, but not as a squadmate.

Our pool of squadmates might also be limited in size, so an "older" player might be able to pick up a new squadmate, but be forced to ditch one of the older to do so. (For example, Wrex comes along for ME1 players, Aria is available as new squadmate (though I doubt she'll be available), to get Aria you have to chose who's going to live in their showdown. Saving both not being an option..)

Yes, such a huge variable pool of squadmates would involve a lot of work, and be pretty expensive. But I'm pretty sure this is something they considered for ME2 already, and that they're still testing how the waters, for how ME2 sells to decide whether they'll do it or not in the next game.

But you got to admit, it would be pretty neat. It would also rack up the sales of their old games quite a bit, from people who didn't get ME1 or 2, but still want to open up certain squadmembers. It all ties in neatly with the online DLC/verification/Cerberus system: just getting a savegame won't help you. You'll need to have ME2 registered to import the savegame that includes Morinth into ME3.

The the reapers target Omega or her organization goes belly up. Nothing lasts forever. Wrex could return. He kinda sounded like he was going to put Grunt in charge of his clan if he ever had to step out.

I hope they don't try treat the 3rd game like the second. Although I had no issue whatsoever with the new crew, I don't like the idea of characters being reduced to minor roles because they may have possibly died. It was OK with ME2, but with every single person being able to die it would be ridiculous in ME3 considering the only way to lose anyone is either because you're retarded, lazy, stupid, all the previous or failed them on purpose. You have you actually aim to fail so I almost wondered why they even bothered to make "customizable" endings. Kinda pissed me off that it wasn't the other way around where it's a challenge to keep people alive. I just think they should stick to a canon where suchandsuch died and soandso lived. I fear the riots if Garrus or Tali are reduced to cameos.Image IPB They might actually assault Bioware's studio!!!

I know, its just that I love the idea of enemies from the past joining your cause
Aria as squadmate and LI would be a dream
some could say that she wouldn't leave Omega just like that, but hey, what's a better motivation than saving the whole galaxy from a Reaper army?

Time to throw out some additional (albeit unlikely) possibilities to mix things up:

Gavorn, the turian who kills vorcha on Omega.

Shisk, the vorcha you probably thought you killed on Omega.

Elnora, the asari you may or may not have killed in the Eclipse base.

Char, the krogan who recites love poetry in Nos Astra.

The only mobile elcor we have ever seen, moving in the background on the Presidium when you go to visit Anderson.

And, of course, any number of quarians:

Lia'Vael nar Ulnay, accused of crime on the Citadel.

Kenn, whom Harrot is keeping down on Omega.

Forzan vas Idenna, rescued from varren on Gei Hinnom.

What's her name, the slave in Nos Astra with AI talent.

well tis liek the mafia doign **** when the allies invaded in WW2, they don't have hte resource or the personal inclination to put themselve sin harms way..

she isn't a nice person....and I doubt she has had much combat experience int he last ocuple of hundred years so she'd be out of shape. keeping Samara on baord would be better but as she says herself if your renegade she hope she will never cross paths with you again, it makes that iffy as well..

again with Wrex just causse he wants to doesn't mean he will, he spent ME1 either explainign or being pissed off at the plight of the krogan as he is in a position to save them or at least try to he isn't gonan leave his people, regardless of the threat. He might lead them as an army, but run off and join a motley crew? No.

Are we sure Mr. Hudson said new characters? I'm assuming that Liara and Ashley/Kaiden are squadmates based on dev commentary. I'm having trouble recalling any characters that would or could be squadmates in ME 3.

Reegarv can die. Aria seems unlikely if Liara is returning.

I would love to have Kolyat on the squad, but his fighting wasn't that impressive. Perhaps a crew member as important as Kelly (and romancable if Thane doesn't get cured -.-). Or Feron, if he's alive. Feron! That would be awesome! And Blasto. God, I would die to have Feron/Kolyat and Blasto on my squad.

I don't think anyone killable will be recruitable (except the Virmire survivor and Legion).

So:

No ME2 squaddies

No Wrex

No Kal'Reegar

No Parasini

No Shiala

Possibly recruitable:

Liara

Ashley/Kaidan

Aria

Kolyat (unlikely, too episodic)

Anderson (!)
