I know I know, fat chance, but I would love to see everyone come back for Mass Effect 3, even Zaeed!
Plus everyone from Mass Effect 1, minus if you let Wrex, Kaiden, or Ashley die.

Im the type of person who doesn't like to see all my options taken away, I grow attached to the characters, though if I was to lose someone, I could live without Miranda & Jacob.  They are somewhat boring to me.

Lets all vote to keep all of em!

Personally I think the Mass Effect 2 characters that have the highest chance of returning - for those that have them live of course would be:

Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, Tali. Perhaps add Jack and Thane to this list... I would imagine some people would rage over the lack of their love interest being around.

Personally I would be fine with those four... though I'd love to see Mordin reappear too. :happy:

I could understand Mordin not coming back, He is Salarian, looks pretty haggard up, They do have short life span, thus I could see perhaps he's reached his twilight years.



Personally, I want to see them all back, but as I stated, Miranda & Jacob, I could deal with not as Party Members, but more around as NPCs to interact with, but Im just way to attached with characters, I was just sad when I had to kill Kaiden or Ashley. Then I saw that Wrex could be greased too, I was like oh man...



Though I did make a ME1 Character that kills everyone they can, so when I go into ME2, Im going see how many people I can kill off there & still survive with that Shepard. Speculating getting 3 people loyal, (Jack, Garrus, & someone), then use them exclusive like for final fight, should give me 2 people there to catch me, while rest of entire team is dead.

LIs have the biggest chance of coming back (except maybe Thane 'cos he'll be dead soon)

Miranda actually has a rather considerable fanbase, and I would be at least a little pissed if she was given a reduced role in ME 3.



I definitely agree, though, that there isn't really any need for any new characters, and that ME 3 should be made up mostly of old recruits.

I suspect that Mass Effect 3 won't have a lot of new characters to begin with. Personally I hope it won't, for that. The Mass Effect 2 characters felt best developed if they also came from Mass Effect 1. Garrus and Tali simply felt the best out of the characters due to their history with Shepard.



I hope Miranda, Jacob and who not would have the same effect in Mass Effect 3.

Everyone comes back (as squad mate): Continuity not preserved for some players but many fans will be happy to have squad mates whom they have grown attached to back fighting side by side along them.



Nobody comes back (as squad mate):Continuity preserved for players who didn't bother/couldn't get a single save file where everyone lives (or deliberately wanted a particular squad mate dead) but will ****** off many fans and waste the entire 2nd act of the trilogy which was presumed to be all about the recruitment and character development of specific characters who we expect to follow us into the final battle with the reapers.


Come on, who wants option 2 anyway?

To all those who want every single character to come back, you know that's 15 people right?

Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Wrex, Garrus, Tali, Zaeed, Mordin, Grunt, Miranda, Jacob, Thane, Legion, Jack, Samara/Morinth, and not leaving out Kasumi.

That's a lot of people to bring back.  We're not even counting new people in ME3.

I sincerely doubt that every character will return. The logistics of such a thing would be staggering as I'm sure that the majority of players had at least one teammate die, if not more. While I can see Bioware putting the time into a few teammates who may never be used because they died in ME2, I heavily doubt they'd do that for most of the characters.

The characters least likely to return, in my opinion, are:
- Samara/Morinth (nearly 1000 years old, her job with you is done; Morinth will probably vanish)
- Thane (most likely dead from his disease)
- Zaeed (DLC; bounty hunter whose job is done and is now insanely rich)

The characters most likely to make a return are love interests:
- ME1 LI survivor
- Tali
- Garrus
- Jack (maybe just paragon ending?)
- Miranda/Jacob (maybe just one depending on choices)

The others ... who knows. Mordin seems very popular as does Legion.

Since Bioware is getting user feedback it's possible they're using the raw data to see what choices the majority of players make and then use their resources accordingly. And by user feedback I mean that when you play ME2 your data is sent to Bioware automatically (unless you switch it off on the X360 version, not sure if the PC allows turning it off) so they probably know what most players are choosing.

Will be interesting to see.

I would welcome the full squad from ME2 back with open arms but not Ashley/Kaiden back as his/her sacrifice was intergral to ME1's plot. Not sure how BW can handle the Wrex conundrum but shadowbroker-hardened Liara could be back, making it 1 or 2 more than ME2's squad. They could even reduce the numbers by making 1 or 2 of them NPCs. For example, Mordin could be back purely as a scientist and can't be selected for combat. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind as long as they can talk to him (or hear him sing) after missions. XXXXX could be killed in a dramatic opening cutscene. Possiblities are endless.

They could always increase squad size to 4 people. Then you could justify everyone coming back

I would welcome them in open arms too, but let's be serious, having a full compliment going into ME3, and then recruiting more people along the way, it's just too much.

My bet is half will come back, 7-8 returning squadmates, the rest will be like what Wrex or Liara was in ME2, or if they were like a Chakwas, Chambers or Joker; just hanging out in the Normandy providing support.

I could deal with folks still there on my ship, so long I can talk with them I could be happy. Though I would need Legion & Zaeed in my team as I run around, there talking has me in tears of happy most time.

I still think everyone should come back as a playable squadmate somehow, so that they're conversational and we can hear their dialogue during missions etc.



Except of course anyone who has died or is truly busy in some form, like Wrex it wouldn't make much sense for him to be back.

I agree, Its the last game in the series(that we are aware of, they could start up a whole new ME series)



So everyone should be there, it should be epic battles with everyone getting a punch in!
