You probably need a better video driver. What are your system specifications?

Dell bought out Alienware, and that is now their Gaming System brand. Their XPS is no longer specially made for gaming, so there's no guarantee it's good enough, really. I'll look up my reference article that contains the information about doing an inventory of your system. Right now, I'm needing a caffeine injection, feeling like it's siesta time (a little sleepy, & memory is foggy). I'll edit that in later.

OK, I'm back.  Near the bottom of the main article (first message) are the references to collecting your own system data:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/509580

There are also three articles about the one component that I consider myself reasonably well versed on when it's PCs we're talking about, video systems.  All were published here in this forum.

I am also a Dell owner, but not that specific model.  Anyway, you more than likely need a driver update for whatever video card you might have installed.  You need to know whether it is Nvidia or ATI, because this is a new game, the video card mfgs have updated their drivers.  Do not get the drivers from dell, theirs are way out of date as they have basically stopped supporting your PC.

It seems to be a veritable antique, with nothing better than a P4 in it, over four years old. If it's got both of the same (SLI) video cards still in it, they could be 6800s, it's *THAT* old!

nVIDIA claims that these drivers are good for both the 6800 and / or the 7800 video cards (if you have never changed them out from when you got the PC new):

Here's the Dell data page for the old XPS 600:
