In all fairness, I didn't even count how many potential squad members and important NPC we have now.
I would love to see them all (those who survived anyway) in ME3. I would love to have an intersting Love story in ME3 building on ME1 and ME2. I would love to get intense RPG dialogue with all teammembers and NPC. I would love to be able to have different sidequests depending on decision you make/made. I would love............. STOOOOOP !!!!
I would hate that all the above would screw up the thin red line running trough the game from ME1-3. It seems a whole lot of I love this and that to have a game made in less then 2 years that adresses all that as each one would like. I never beleive we will get a 5 Disc game, so Bioware, stick to the usaul, it worked just fine up till now
Will the massive amount of Team members and LI ruin dialogue and story in ME3

Well, they have less to focus on when it comes to the graphic engine, combat and skill system and those fundamentals now that it is clear those will transfer over. With that said, I hope they are spending most of their time on the story. It being the last game, I wouldn't mind longer conversations and more in depth explorations of each character. Also, some satifsying romance stories and their conclusions would be essential! Bioware has a strong history of great story based games...they can't drop the ball for the LAST Shepard game!!!!!

I think they won't have to do a whole lot of work on the combat and gameplay (maybe a revamp of biotics and tech). But I don't see that being an issue really. We have 6 squad members in ME1. One of them is either dead or will be organizing the Krogan and won't need a massive amount of dialogue, another is definitely dead, the one human you saved will likely not be a companion, Tali and Garrus are still companions and Liara might be a companion. I think that the variety of companions in ME2 was sufficient. Maybe 2 or 3 new companions in ME3 to fill up a squad that took casualties at the ME2 endgame. So what, maybe 12 or 13? It's a lot of dialogue but its not too much for Bioware. Especially after the reviews they've been getting on this game's combat/gameplay, they can take their sweet time crafting a fantastic story.

That's a good point. If they leave most of the gameplay as it is (maybe adding a few tweaks here and there) and focus more on getting the story and character interactions as good as they need to be for ME3, they can pull it off (I hope). Whatever the final game ends up being it needs to be massive, and epic. It really needs to go out with the bang to end all bangs.

They've set the bar high with ME2 and they need to leap over that one. I have faith that they will blow us away. I'm going to finish up this last ME2 game, then play that Dragon Age expansion and then install KOTOR. Hopefully, it'll be here before I know it.

I truly hope that they will focus on story, more story leads to more missions and environments, maybe they should re-use environments this time, I would love to be able to access to the surroundings of both ME1 and ME2 in ME3

Gosh, if ME 3 takes too long I will actually have to try Bioware's MMORPG to fill the time...a terrible first!!!

Well, they surely set themselves up for high expectations. The path of least resistance would be to go the Wrex route, but I think they know they can't do that for every crew member, since at least the Garrus and Tali fans would cry bloody havoc.
As it is, they probably have a metric ton of VAs running around at the moment for Star Wars: The Old Republic, so it'd probably be fairly easy to avail themselves to some of them for "replacement characters", if someone really wants to import a save with one of the important squadmates being dead.
So I think they will go the extra mile to include the most beloved characters as full team members / romances, yeah. Although they really must have a headache from figuring out how to work them into the plot as well as they can be.

I would like to see them again in ME3 (at least those who are still alive). I know it'll be difficult to implement all possible constellations. And I truly hope the squad mates /LIs will have a bigger part than just some conversations. I was a bit disappointed of Kaidans/Ashleys and Liaras Part in ME2.
But i trust Bioware that they will create a good story and bring our beloved crew members back.

Eh, half the draw to ME was all about continuation - continuing your character after ME1. With the character comes the relationships/friendships/squadmates. ME2 has a good combat gameplay system. Maybe make a few minor changes but worry more about the story, cinema, and returning NPCs and squadmates.
