Is my Shepard the only one who tries to catch some air?  Shephard's flying ambitions made me reload for at least 3 times in my first playthrough. The worst time was when I played the huge-hanged-spaceship quest. I was on the bridge right before the end of the mission, and was about to finish it, But Shepard thought otherwise: My Shepard started walking in the air and I had to restart the mission (You can't save in this mission). I hope you will fix thig bug in the upcoming patch.
sorry for crappy grammer...

One really noticeable instance of this is when you're doing Samara's recruitment mission.

At one point there is a left turn into a large loading bay,

just before the hallway that has stair and the door that leads to Elmora.

Anyways, if you go into cover at the corner of the wall before you go into the loading bay,

you can incrementally raise yourself to the ceiling by going in and out of cover.

Hasn't been that big of a problem for me though, because I can usually wiggle myself back to the ground with enough button mashing.

I have had this happen a number of times in random places, including coming off the galaxy map platform on the Normandy. The first time I was PISSED, and ended up reloading when I couldn't navigate anywhere to get down. After that, I discovered that if you can talk to someone that brings the 'dialog wheel' up, you will be standing on the ground again when you're done.

this happens to me all the time - sometimes when i explore rooms and walk around the edges, sometimes i get caught in dodgey corners when trying to gain cover. one time i walked about 10 feet up then fell through the floor with no way back. sometimes you can button mash your way out, one time i used the spacebar to sprint out. to be honest i think this is rather shoddy work and im not sure if its pathing because it seems it can happen anywhere. perhaps the developers cut some corners to save time.

Happening to me on Omega station when I am trying to get the plague cured, it is happening A LOT really damn annoying. This seems like something that would be found since there is a lot of wall hiding involved and that is when it happens the most.....around corners.

I had this problem several times on the teetering wrecked ship as well - I think it's called the MSV Estavenico? - in a difference place each time. Eventually I resorted to walking veeeeery carefully and not going near any walls or edges.

I've also just had it happen on the airlock security console on the Strontium Mule, just after you walk out of the cargo bay. It's fairly easy to reproduce, too - walk into the left front corner or left side of the keyboard while facing towards the cargo bay and slightly to the right (like, if directly perpendicular to the console monitor is north, you want to be facing roughly NNE). I've managed to reproduce it three times in as many minutes doing this.

EDIT: Huh, managed to get Shepard back on the ground after walking onto the security console. That wasn't possible on the Estavanico - he would literally stand on thin air. I couldn't manage to get off the keyboard the first two times, either, so it's still a bit of a problem.

Oh, and this is the PC version of ME2, just in case that wasn't clear.

One place I've encountered this annoying little feature is in the room where you encounter Archangel; there's a box of power supplies or similar loot next to a bed which causes the magic levitation bug.  I might not mind so much if I hadn't been caught by the same thing on two occasions, the second time thinking "I must remember to avoid... oh bugger".  Sigh.

On the Mordin Solus recruitment mission you can end up standing on the small desk at the entrance (not the counter with the people behind it, but the desk along the opposite wall).

And again in the Mordin Solus loyalty mission you can "walk up a pillar" inside the hospital just outside the door (up on the ledge) where the krogan spokesperson (and blow him up with a well aimed shot /renegade action). Just walk toward the pillar and you will scale up to the roof.

The most annoying one though, which happens to me every single time I land on the bloody planet is where there is insane fog/dust in the air and you can't see anything. Think the planet is Kaldun, an anomaly location where there is alot of geth and a huge blue glowing pillar in the distance and you can't see longer than a few meters. One of the covers/ledges there is a restart-mission death trap... Don't know which (maybe there's many?) because the layout of the map is impossible to fathom.

The problem can't be entirely random since it happens in very specific places, ever single time.

Another spot that gave me problems was during Zaeed's loyalty quest. When approaching the gatehouse, I found that activating the door always led to Schempard hovering over the ground, right before a cut scene, forcing me to restart the game. Only by ensuring that Schempard was right against the door before activating could I guarantee that I got right to the cutscene.

The places I can recall this happening to me are...

Normandy, by the Galaxy Map. Walked into the railing, and suddenly I was floating. Talking to Kelly got me back on the ground, though.

The "The Krogan" mission, in a spot or two when you encountered waves of krogan in an area that had multiple paths to the exit. Had to reload my previous save.

"N7: Blood Pack Communications Relay", on the planet Tarith. I started flying in the middle of a fight with a couple of klixens, when I backed into some terrain. Amusingly enough, Jack also started flying, while Miranda was stuck on the ground.

Seems theres a few bugs in the eq. still.

Have had the same problems over various lvls of the game.

Also has anyone noticed the esc key malfunctions while trying to back out of the element gathering map?

I find I have to just pull up the task manager and shut down the game., repeatedly

I've gone so far as to re install the origional software for the keyboard to the sys. To make sure it was not a compatibility issue and changed keyboards thinking it might have had a glitch as well.

Maybe the boi's is the problem.

Will look into that next.

Since most if not all motherboards operate basicly the same I've found out that installing the most recent bio's might not always be the correct idea.

Each bio's program address's certian aspects or commands within the motherboard commands structure. In most cases changing the bio's should correct the problem. Unless there are issues with the game itself.

My sys is a ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO Quad core 965 running at 3.40 mhz

My overclock speed is 3406

Video card is a Nvidia GTX 285 with 1 gb shadow memory

Sys memory is at 8GB
