What will be interesting to see is how some people will react if it is revealed that Liara and Feron did become lovers. In fact, I hope that is the route they go. I wonder how many people who romanced Liara in ME1 would think she 'cheated,' even though Shepard was dead.

Personally I wouldn't consider it infidelity, just as I don't consider Shep romancing someone else in ME2 cheating. Shepard was dead and the original LIs don't express any interest in picking up where you left off when Shep gets revived. If Shep had been married to his original LI, I'd probably describe their status as 'seperated' in ME2.

I wouldn't consider it cheating, just horrible writing.  Remember she just met Feron a couple of weeks after Shepard died and has only known him for a few days.  Even if they are trying to "grimdark" Liara, she isn't a they type to just jump on every guy she meets like Jack.

I actually think that would send a lot of Liara fans, myself included, into a rage to rival the Tali fans.  So no, I hope they do not go that route.

I think thats what a lot of Liara fans fear is the case and the reason way many of them want to see Feron shoot in the face. I know I do :innocent:

Nah, as many "issues" as I have with the ME2 story and characters I don't think Mac is that bad of a writer.  Even he knows when he crossed the line......I think...... :P

I agree. No shields could possibly repel rage of that magnitude.

I think Liara deserves Shepard's loyalty considering that she was the one that made so much effort to make sure he did not die for good or be taken by the collectors upon his death (read the redemption comics). We don't actually know yet why exactly is Liara so fixated on Shadow Broker. She only says he killed her friend and nowhere do we learn that this friend was her lover or anything. I think she was faithful.

Her cheating would just wreck her character I think. She comes across as a very naive gentle girl in ME1. It would be out of character. But then so is hunting down Shadow Broker. Who knows. Wait and see.

I won't consider that cheating, even if she did it after getting your body back and giving it to Cerberus.

Though I imagine a plotline like that will annoy many Liara fans. Liara doesn't seem to be easy or the type to quickly move on (unlike my Balance Shepard). If it has been awhile, sure. Of course, she could have if the reasons were compelling, problem is I doubt they will be. Everything is possible, doesn't mean it has to be so.

Though it might explain a lot if they did go that route. Now who is evil, suggesting what may be really happening. If they do go this route I can imagine Liara will still be there for ME3. It might just ruin who she was for many. Maybe she did it in a moment of weakness and feels bad about it. Might not seem like her, but we do strange things in our moments of weakness.

I will probably have my Biotic Shepard stay celibate to her.
