Playing a Paragon Vanguard on Normal, doing Thane's Loyalty Mission.

I get to the guy in room who stops you (have a choice of talking or knocking him out).

I select the Paragon option, I DO NOT skip any dialog. Once the dialog ends, my screen is facing a wall, there is not HUD, Shepard is not visible on the screen, and Thane keeps panicking. The controls are unresponsive and I cannot even press start to go to the options menu. Only way to get out is to use the guide and quit to dashboard.

Happened TWICE so far, trying a third time.

EDIT: On the third try I did the Paragon option again, this time I DID SKIP the dialog, and it did not screw up.

I'm Having the same problem. On my fourth try already. I'm afraid to skip the dialog. But I guess I'll try it again.
