I have seen "resisted" pop up when attacking The Withered in DAA. I had never really noticed it before in DAO, but my dual wield rogue with paralyze and slow on both daggers, was seeing a stack of "resisted" coming up above The Withered's head. It's also possible this resisted was referring to the flame damage or lightning damage I had on the weapons. The Withered must have cast some kind of defense spell, as my white damage was coming up in 4 or 3, green damage (from poison) was going at +2 and +3, and then three and four "resisted."

Do you find slow runes useful?  I've never used them as they only slow movement speed, AFAIK, which could be useful in solo play but seems kinda pointless with a party.

In a party of mages and archers, I could see how a slow rune on a bow might be useful against melee enemies. Unfortunately, most of the enemies in the game that make tough fights are either mages, archers, rogues who can flash-stealth and appear right beside you (unsure if slow would affect that), and enemies who are immune/highly resistant to the effect. I could see how it'd help in a nightmare solo run, though.

Is it worth slotting more than one of these? Do they stack? Or do they have separate chances to fire? Any input would be greatly appreciated! :)

Grandmaster Paraylze Rune has an 8 second duration with a 5% chance.
Master 7 seconds with 5% chance.
Expert 6 seconds with 5% chance.
Journeymen 5 seconds with 5% chance.
Novie 4 seconds with 5% chance.

Yes they stack so you can up to 15% chance to paralyze for x amount of seconds. The durations however do not stack.

Poisons make a good alternate to Paralyze Runes. I think concentrated Deathroot has a 15% stun chance. Or go for overkill and stack 3 paralyze runes in your offhand weapon and use poisons!

I thought only passive runes worked in the offhand weapon.

That only applies during a backstab. Then only the main hand weapon runes fire, otherwise they both can trigger. So kind of a trade off, stick your dmg runes in the main hand and paralysis runes in the off. If you are not backstabbing then you have a chance to paralyze. I figure if I am backstabbing the target is just about dead anyways. No need to paralyze a dead man. :)

Or use Poison too and you get the best of both worlds.

I've noticed some weird behavior with runes even on my warrior, who can't backstab. It's probably just a display problem, but only one hand seems to work at a time, and it's not even consistent. I ended up just switching to Dweomer runes on my offhand because my spell resistance was already pretty high.

I find the slow runes helpful when I've stealthed in and started on the yellow alpha (or whatever).  Often I'm using a 2 rogues, 2 mage party, with one rogue archer, so my dual wield rogue is the "tank" and the slow rune can help keep the mob close when he's trying to run to your mage.  It's definitely less helpful when you are using a taunt tank, although I still find a lot of the archer mobs will run away if your melee get too close, so slowing them can also be helpful.  It's not the best rune ever, but I hadn't known you could stack paralysis so usually my weapons have one paralyze, one slow, and one elemental bonus.
