Honestly, what's up with Charge and not able to target your enemies?
Okay, I understand the enemy has to be in sight in order to charge at them.
I also understand that you can't charge at enemies who are in areas that you as a player normally can't reach.
But honestly, I've had this "can't get a lock!" or "can't target them!" issue so many times while I just tried to charge at an enemy right out in the open, sometimes even right in front of me. This is clearly a bug (or is it?) and a damn anoying one! So far I've already died 50 or more times because of this.

Other times you will start the charge animation and not have it go off, but the cooldown will be used
Still other times the charge animation will go off but you will just charge into the spot you were standing on (Collector platforms)
All deaths caused by this are very annoying, but nothing you can do about it except hope a patch addresses it.

Same here and with Vanguard, too. I had it early on but later I learned to maneuver and position myself so it would be less frequent. What IS annoying though is when you are at one of the heat vents in the suicide mission and you can't activate it because it won't highlight on the screen. I spend several seconds whirling the camera around and running in circles while Harbinger blasts me. I either die from his hits or fail the mission. Come on. They should have just made it so if the cursor is on the target, it is automatically selected.
lol, the suicide mission is crazy buggy
One hilarious bug I had during that part with the heat vents, I charged a drone and somehow I ended up flying SIDEWAYS off the platform and my ragdoll flew off the screen like I was hit by an explosion. In addition, the 'resume' screen music was playing but there were no buttons! Eventually the game respawned my body off the platform in a free fall and the buttons finally showed up.

But overall it works well, I get these bugs only occasionally.

Sniper rifles for instance have slow reloads and I noticed that if you play a Soldier or Infiltrator and you duck behind cover, you can cancel the reload accidentally if the animation isn't far enough along. Infiltrators also have a problem where reloading cancels cloak, as does firing without a round in the chamber (which causes you to reload). These are things you just have to be conscious of when playing and far from taking away from the enjoyment of the game I think it actually improves it. Infiltrators have to check they have a round in the chamber before they cloak and they have to check reload when moving between cover. Vanguards just have to watch the elevation and proximity to walls to avoid a dud charge. It makes combat more intense in my opinion.

Sometimes I think quirks like these are intentional or at least they are interesting to have to play around because you become very conscious of when you should and shouldn't charge.

Ya, I don't know how many times I used cloak and lined up a headshot only to watch Shep reload

Update DirectX and video drivers, turn down resolution and effects. Low FPS will interfere with charge targeting

Think of this next time you charge. The only reason you can't get a lock is either because when you charge the enemy he will be bhind something that youll get stuck in if you charge, he will be on a platform so therefore youll fall if you charge him, or your to far away. I apologize if im reposting but i was to lazy to read the whole forum.Luc0s wrote...
That line already cost my Vanguard Shepard's life over 50 times on Insanity difficulty.

Actually happens fairly often to me while standing no more then a few feet of my enemy, nothing in between and plenty of room. There are without a doubt a few bugs with charge.

It's usually when I try to zip to the VERY other end of the battle field that I get it sometimes. But of course someone above already answered that is b/c that the place u land will probably be some sort of cover, crate that you will get stuck in, so that's why u can't charge there.
It hasn't bog me down though. When my shepard yells this line...I just shift him to get another shot at it, which usually works.
