This game is impossible. On the verge of giving up.

That particular battle with the rage demon regeneration in Warden's Keep was insanely simple if you ran back to the barricade on the edge of the battlefield and put two fighter there to block it. Use a mage and and archer to pick off the skeletons and before you know it it's dead. I use the environment a jell of a lot. always be looking for cover and such. Block doorways so enemies can't flank you set traps out side of rooms where known enemies are ect..it all boils down to battlefield tactics.

That aside, me, I just opened up some files with the script editor and have 400 in each stat, I don
t care about the action personally, I just enjoy the game for it's story. (That aside, even with everything at 400 stats and great equipment.. I still die often enough in nightmare mode, imagine that.)

Yeah, good for you. Bragging the game is too easy when you abuse the game mechanics on purpose.
What's your point? Should i play naked? with 1 man party?
I'm not bragging, im just stating that some tactics, as the ones i said and more, make the game too easy. And for your information, im playing a non wynne 1 ranged party just for the sake of roleplaying. If i were to abuse IA weakness i would run with a 2 handed indomitable warrior with 3 ranged nukers, faceroll.
I think you just did not understood the term abuse in that sentence.

Typical disclaimer: I've played every RPG there is. I'm no noob.
This game is killing me. Every time I go up against a yellow or orange enemy, my party dies. I'm currently around level 7, playing warden's keep and its one frustration after the next. What the hell am I missing? Do I really need to set the game to Easy? This is definitely one of the most infuriating games I've ever played.
A couple Warden's Keep specific issues below (spaced for spoilers):
.
.
.
.
It took three tries to kill the rage demon. It seemed to be constantly regenerating health and I have no idea why.
The possessed female warden also killed my party once before I managed to kill her. Also, there seems to be a bug as I didn't receive a set bonus after equipping all of her armor.
Right now I'm at the point of the mage trying to close the gates and, again, its impossible.
Very very frustrated.
Actually, you 'are' a noob. I've just beaten Flemeth on 'hard', first attempt, so obviously the game isn't impossible.
L2P, maybe?

No, you should play without abusing obvious bugs, such as enemies attacking the force fielded tank...
It is a bug? Does mages aoe powers are also bugged? Does rogue momentum and poisons stacks a bug? I destroy bosses with that!
Maybe i should stop using my mind at all and let my group die constantly! Yes that will harden the game for me!
-.-

Yes it is obviously a bug. Mage AoE powers are not bugged. Momentum isn't a bug, poison stack - maybe, maybe not. Can't say, haven't tried.
As for your childish second paragraph, go ahead if it makes you feel better.

Console or PC? Why not set it to Easy? A lot of people are having trouble on Normal (I suspect because Bioware haven't put out a game with similar combat since BGII and a lot of people playing games now are too young to have the necessary experience). That said, if you aren't playing on easy, complaining that the game is too hard is kinda pointless. Now if you set it to easy and it became so easy that it wasn't fun, you'd have something there, I think.
The only experience that's necessary is to play DA.

@Chris; I agree, I'm not trying to make this game less challenging... just choose what monsters or enemies are. I dont want to load a game 10 times to fight off a band of thugs and their leader that for some reason can withstand 10 times more damage than myself. When I see a band of thugs I'd like to go PEW PEW METEOR STRIKE and not get the feeling that I'm a level 10 mage in WoW trying to defeat lvl 25 monsters.
DA is the wrong game for you, son. Of if you want to play it anyways, all you have to do is be 2% smarter than your opponents. But I see your gamer tag disallows that possiblity.

But even that's solved with only a little hint of co-ordinated tactics.
I haven't played normal, but it surely doesn't seem that impossible to me.

I can see why some ppl wan't the games to be easy and quickly played through, but at the same time I find it kind of stupid that a games developer add's this and that to the game mechanics and then the player doesn't even use 10% of them.
Like on nightmare I actually had to put points on constitution for crying out loud!
