If given the option in ME3, will you stay with Cerberus or rejoin the Alliance?

Cerberus, although TIM wasn't very happy with what I did, I'd still go with Cerberus without even as much as blinking if given the chance; they have the resources, aren't blind to what's happening around them and their technology is far beyond the Alliance's.
They also let me do my job, didn't give up on me nor tried to tarnish my reputation like the Alliance or the Council did, even after I rattled them out to the SB and destroyed several of their bases during Mass1. That's commitment to a cause. Like my Shep said "Cerberus brought me back, I'm willing to give them one chance. One chance."

Further, in this game, it is made obvious not every Cerberus member is a xenophobe, pro-human extremist, and people like my Shep are what Cerberus needs, and, in a way, we are also a way to balance out TiM's sometimes off the park policies/actions... like that thing that happens at the end of Mass2 (I'd be seriously po'd if we couldn't side with cerberus only because of that single decision...)
Heck, perhaps the bases we visited in Mass1 were rogue Cerberus cells acting without TiM having full knowledge (not saying he was completely oblivious, just not totally in the loop, like what happened on Pragia) of what was going on those extremist xenophobes-lead cells.

Now, if only I make of Cerberus the human version of the Salarian STG... that'd be awesome.

PS: basically, I fully agree with JamesDBacon on page #5.

The Systems Alliance encompasses Earth and the colonies that ally with Earth. That's fine enough and where Shepard started her career. There is fondness there.

Cerberus is a rogue black ops terrorist organization with a totally unscrupulous "pro-human" agenda. My (main) Shepard loathes them with a passion.

Yes, the Citadel Council are politicians and blind to (or in denial of) the realities Shepard has discovered. But they represent the ideal of a Galactic Civilization. My (main) Shepard, for all that she's a rather bullyish renegade type in a conflict, fervently believes in Galactic Civilization. She is a Spectre. She's been given the job, and the latitude, to do what she must to ensure galactic stability. And she will. She saved the Council not because she likes them, but because they represent the potential, and such tradition as the galaxy has, for a civilized relationship between all sapients.

It is people like the Illusive Man and Cerberus, who believe that government must be overthrown to improve it, that the interests of one selective group justify any unethical activity, who make her get into a "I'm going to stop this jerk, brutally" kind of mood.

If I can't go my own way, I'll stick with Cerberus.

I'll be playing middleman to the galaxy, so neither. They'll all be working for me on this reaper thing.

I would pick the Alliance.  But I would play both Alliance and Cerberus to see what the story would be like.  Plus of course I would like to work for Council again tho

I will go Independent. You have an advanced ship. You have a crew personally loyal to you and some really powerful people who trust you on all sides.

Independent, unless they make me the Spectre-Commander of the Galaxy and give me free hands to do things my way, then I'll rejoin the Alliance.
Actually recruiting Spectre squadmates in ME3 sounds fun!

Said it better than I could. I don't like the Council, but I respect what they stand for.  (Though I'm a paragon.)

Retire to a tropical planet filled with Asari...

And if that's not an option...

I'd rejoin the Alliance and tell the council to go space themselves.

I don't trust The Illusive Man.

Plus... there's that whole Akuze thing (my) Shepard just can't get past...

Neither.

I'm expecting ME3 will involve Shepard to be some sort of freelancer that has to gain the support of different races and organizations to create an army to go up against the reapers.

Choosing the support of one will likely rule out another. Depending on what choices I'll have then, I'll make some sort of decision. Until then, I'm making sure that I have the upper hand with information (Legion, Lost Operative, etc.)

My main Shepard will remain with the Alliance/Specter. My Paragde will stay with Cerberus, secretly if necessary. My renegade will stay with the Alliance.

Cerberus because I am taking it over, Michael Corleone style.

Priest: "Commander Shepard do you reject Satan and all his works?"
Shep: "I do."

TIM gets a bullet in the eye.

I'd love to go back to the Alliance. I bad-mouthed Cerberus every chance I got in ME2.

But I don't think Bioware will give us a choice. They'll railroad us in whatever direction they want their story to go in. If that means forcing me to continue working for Cerberus, and explaining my decidedly anti-Cerberus decision at the end of ME2 with a few throwaway lines of dialogue, they'll do it.

Well if the Alliance has pulled their heads out of their arse then I'll join them.

If not then I'll stick with Cerberus.

The Council can go to hell.

You and I must think along the same lines as in ME1, I chose to let the council die out of a hatred towards them and their constant obstructionist attitude towards Shepard.  As for the Alliance, they left Shepard for dead, broke up his/her original team, and then sequestered all evidence of the Reapers.
Only Cerberus was willing to acknowledge the truth and as such, only they should get my respect.

Lol the council keeps jerking me about dammit!?

I bloody well put them there and STILL they jerk me about. Unless they change their tune I will go with Cerberus; they know what needs to be done and will do it.

However if the Alliance shapes up I will return there, somewhat, straddling the fence.
