My Steam version of the game never lets me register the copy on Bioware Social. I didn't think it was an issue until the Toolset came out. I can't download it unless I have a valid key, but I've tried to register it and it won't accept any of the codes Steam gave me.

Anyone know how I can fix this issue?

I had this problem, but eventually figured out a way around it:



In my case, Steam gave me two keys: one was 16 characters with hyphens between every four characters (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx). The other was 20 characters long with no hyphens.



The registration page at the time said you should use a 20-character code and include hyphens (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx). However, in my case it didn't work until I entered the 20-character code WITHOUT the hyphens. Try that and see if it works better.

I was having the same problem when copying and pasting the key from the DAO launcher. Then I tried copying the key labeled "...Game CD Key" from the steam application and it worked.



The CD Keys from steam and the launcher were the same except the key copied from the launcher contained dashes and the key from steam did not. The site could have just been having issues when I tried the key from the launcher so I'm not certain that the dashes were the problem but its worth trying.

I had this problem too, for some reason both the cdkeys that popped up on steam for me have 16 letters. If you have the same issue there's a 20 letter cd key in the dragon age config utility, that one worked for me.

Thanks. The serial number from the config utility worked. Sheesh! You'd think they'd make the process of registering the game easier.

I had to use the 16 key with hyphens, to get my stuff.
