Many Mass Effect/BioWare fans  are disappointed by BioWare’s decision to exclude same-sex romances from ME2.   While romances are only a part of the game, they help immersion.   The adventure is not quite the same without the romances. 

To this date, the only official response has been that “Shepard is a pre-defined character and he is who he is, or she is”. Will all due respect to BioWare, that statement itself is contradictory. If Shepard does not even have a pre-defined gender, how is he or she a pre-defined character? If Shepard does not even have a pre-defined gender, why must the male version of Shepard have a pre-defined sexuality. BioWare's statement is especially strange in light of f/f relations already present in the game.

While BioWare is a business and they are free to make their games as they see fit. We, as fans, should make our voices heard. BioWare have listened to the fans before and I hope they will do so again.

No there isn't. You have had ample opportunity to have your say. The discussion has been well and truly covered from every angle. This is just spam. Just look at the posts already. There is not even an attempt to develop any new discussion points, it is just spam and everyone should report it as such.

Eh, it's just general discussion about something people want to see in the game.  >_<  I don't really see how it's a problem for there to be a thread for people to discuss it even if it's rehashing.  At least I don't see how it's a higher percentage spam thread than discussing how hot Tali is.  Not that Tali isn't hot, but I guess I just don't see the difference.  ^^;

Thank you for agreeing with me that there is no discussion value in this thread and it should be locked as spam. If you want a FAQ do what every other fan base has done on this social site, make a GROUP and post it there. Thats what they are there for. Why should you get any special treatment? Why do you need to do this in the GD and not in a group forum?

ME1 is an rpg and ME2 is not.

How ME2 is MORE/LESS of an RPG than ME1

All internet boards reach a point of beating the dead horse. If you're just realizing this you haven't been on the internet long. ESPECIALLY when a board is stuck on one subject (Mass Effect).

Edit: Guys just try to stay on topic. Its when you pay attention to people who are attention wh*ring and want to derail the topic taht it ends up getting closed after all. :innocent:

No one fan base, except you, has made a thread about their "special issue" and constantly spammed in it in order to keep it on the first page. Most of the special interests fan base has formed groups and posts in the groups discussion board. That is what they are there for. Again, what makes you so special that you have to constantly spam the GD with the same thread that has no discussion value? Why do you need to do this in GD and not in your group discussion thread?

Yeah :-\\ I would feel pretty personally hurt to have these threads closed. :-\\ I don't think it's hurting the Mass Effect community as spam more than anything else here. Closing it would just be another way for BW to be sweeping this under the rug but in a more direct/hurtful way than just "we didn't have the time/money to include this in the game" it would feel more like "we really don't want to aknowledge that you are part of this gaming community, gtfo our general forum"
