Well, trying to explain that would go too much into a social, political and psychological debate, I think. So let's just it be as irrationality is just that, irrationality.

On topic: The reason I'd prefer for the M/M or F/F relationship to be made in ME3 rather than in some cheap DLC is for it to be properly fleshed out. I don't see what another Zaeed-like character would bring, really. Besides, ME3 is supposed to be the extension of ME2. I don't quite see Bioware spending resources to create a proper new romance in ME2. Why not create at quest to cure Thane/Samara/Morinth then (although now that I think about it, that could be some good prompt for initiationg gay romances options)? Now, if all they have to do is release a patch that would unlock the homosexual options that, if my understanding of some posts here is correct, are actually already implemented in the game, then I hope they will.
I still wish for a real gay option in ME3 because that would be better done and I don't see why this should be, pass me the expression, sold under the mantel, as if that was shameful or something to that extent.

Could that be because this thread, like the last one, has very little discussion value and should be closed? It seems strange that every other special interest group is content to continue their discussions on their GROUP DISCUSSION BOARD, and yet, you guys cannot do the same.

What makes you so special?

Why don't you all register in every gaming forum and demand that every single game have gay content?

The optimal solution for ME3 in my opinion would be :
1 make Kaidan bisexual and available for both and bring back Liara, so you have both m/m and f/f
2 as reward for completing a playthrough enable a character editor, that allows changing key decisions of the first two games.

Kaidan is a good canditate for the m/m romance because he is not part of male standart Shepards team in ME3, so that the only way to have a m/m romance in the first playthrough is if you import a old savegame. The unlocked safegame-editor would allow players without a safegame to persue that romance later while allowing players that dont want any m/m in game to keep him out of their games.
As for Kaidan just showing interest in male Shepard in ME3, I fully believe that female Shepards who did not romance Kaidan in ME1 will get a second shot at romancing him and with careful wording that dialog could be used for both male and female Shepard.

That would work! I'm sure you'd still find people who are going to say they don't want to get hit on by Kaidan just because they chose him over Ash for whatever reason in ME1, though. (rolls eyes)

1 The Tali thread is now 900 pages long.
2 Why should we demand gay content in every game ? We want it in ME because
2.1 Bioware has included it before
2.2 ME is about playing your Shepard and that incluedes relationships
2.3 There is no story reason for not including it.

By the way please stop spamming this thread by posting the same message constantly otherwise I will have to
report you for it.

*sigh* You refuse to listen to reason and are repeatedly harrassing this thread despite many people asking you nicely to stop again and again, so I'm sending a mod a private message about you.  Sorry, but I'm sick of the "smile politely and pretend you don't exist" approach.

Posting to express support. I missed the last forty pages or so of the last thread this weekend, but I'm happy it's still going.

Happy Tuesday, folks.

I support this thread.

Edit: I just don't see the point in having romances in a video game, but I guess it builds character.

(I'm sorry if I made an ass of myself in the last thread.)

Hmm IMO it seems like this is being made into a bigger problem than it should be. Romcances arnt really that important in the game or any cept dating sims and w/e. All you get out of them is to see one specifc charecter devlope a little more.   Ex: Jack tells you way she pushes people away and opens up to you.

Not to mention that ME3 is the last part of the trilogy, and i dout there will be many if any new romancable (Gay Lez or Bi) squadies joining.

Final thaught: very slim chance Thane, Jacob, Garrus, Grunt(hell naw), and Moridin in ME3 will sudendly relise that they like dudez....same for all the current female squadies(yep that means Tali too~)

Meh if sum1 said somthing similar im sorry but im not gonna read so many previous post.....good day.

just had a friend read this over said it sounded like i was being a jerk. Totally not my goal, I hope u get it im just saying it more than likely wont.

I'd be very surprised if there aren't any new squad mates in ME3. That would be kinda boring.

Well your squad is already huge well if you kept everyone alive (I did). And i dont belive ther will be a huge time period between ME2 and 3 so I dont see those already with you leaving to do thiere own thing. If youve beat the the game you may understand why i feel this way.

I suspect there will 2 or 3 new teamates, and there has been RPGs where u get no new people in the squeal and there still great ^^

There have to be enough for those who killed off their entire squad in ME2. I see every current LI being available, but everybody else has a reason not to come along; Samara has her Justicar duty, Grunt has his new clan, Legion has work cut out for him in the Geth space, Mordin may be getting too old, and may have to return to the STG to boot...

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there was another couple of years gap between ME2 and ME3. No-one expected one between ME1 and ME2, after all - there is a certain event timed five years after the Ascension novel ends (three years after ME2) that might spell out the beginning for ME3.

(spoilerz)

Well at the end of the game you see like thousands of reaper ships closing in( unless there like light years away >.> not sure how fast their going or how the space travel works in the ME universe.)

reasons why i think some of the crew members u listed will stay.
Legion: The reapers are still a threat to the geth and as long as shep is hunting reapers he will follow like a puppy

Samara: she is a justicare sworn to defeat evil whats more evil and danger than a reaper? The reason she with shep was beacause she saw the collectors as a worthy and formidibal foe, she can do more good with shep so she'll stay.

Grunt: well you got me there but hey he likes fighting might stay for the battles :/

Mordin: again ya got me no solid reason for me,but i can try he does have alot of compasion for helping other even those not or his kind, I would think he wants to do as much as he can to help others before he dies and the whole reaper thing is the biggest problem atm, but still who knows

Samara : Justicars care about their code not about good or evil. She even tells Shepard that should he/she misbehave she will try to kill him/her after the Collectors are dealt with.
Mordin : He can do more good from a secure labratory on an planet than going with Shepard ( and be easily replaced by a student of his should he not survive the suicide mission)
Legion : Better to go back to the geth and help prepare for the coming war with the reapers
Grunt   : Going back to help his new clan.

The only sqadmates that most likely return as squadmates are the LI of ME1 and ME2, and even with those I am not 100 % sure that they will be there from the start, because ME3 has to take place several months (or even ayear or two) after ME2 for some of Shepards desicions ( Quarians, genophage ) to show consequences.

I could have sworn I'd imposed a brief moratorium on these kinds of threads, at least until y'all could discuss them civilly and without all the hate. The moratorium continnues.

End of line.
