The nice thing about the dwarf noble origin is that it doesn't really matter if you give props to Bhelen for being master of the game or side with Harrowmont. They both make sense the way they play out. I haven't tried siding with Harrowmont on the dwarf commoner. I just can't see if there's a good reason for it since Harrowmont would keep the caste system in place, the sister would be eternally pissed at you, and you'd be keeping your family in the slums. I still am curious how it plays out, but Orzammar is sooooo long just to finish all that up. I may do it one day and take a nice long shower since I'd be feeling so dirty afterwards.
If you play a character with any family feeling, Bhelen is the candidate for dwarf commoner. I didn't feel dirty afterwards. It actually can give the happiest ending. Your nephew will become King, you become a Paragon and good things happen to your sister and Mom. Not only does Bhelen risk a lot for your sister, he is actually very good to your mother.
As for being an immoral dictator, let's see: Life is rough in Dust Town. The criminal syndicates are the only game in town down there. And in the syndicates, the stronger the boss, the better things run. Bhelen offers the hope that things might not stay so rigid as well. Harrowmount means more of the same.
