no, you're not the only one. I'm actually starting to wonder if he really is the Architect, he looks waay to nice to be a Darkspawn.

He's not the architect. The Architect is this:

really? I never read the books, just heard his name tossed around, and thought people were more referring to the mage-like figure. interesting... I really wonder who this new villain is going to be.

Mage-like figure............... he IS an emissary.

I wonder if this Lich guy will be some kind of ally. In the trailer is seems as if he's captured the Warden and has him on his back and dizzy or something. Perhaps he captures the warden by force to show him the dangers of the Architect and to help put a stop to him? He has to have at least some motivation for not killing the warden on the spot. Speculation for the win!

Definitely is hard to say. We can't be sure until we know. For all we know, it might as well be a golem!... Ok, ok, maybe not. Although the voice sounds also feminish-like. Especially at that "So you're the commander of the Grey Wardens?"... ok well, it's the only thing the thing actually MIGHT say.

Assuming that is its voice... how is that feminine in any way?  :?

But hey, whatever floats your boat. Like I said, different strokes.

A close up of a giant biomechanical penis plunging into a giant biomechanical vaginal is erotic art. That it doesn't *get you off* isn't very meaningful. You might only find pictures of kittens playing with yarn arousing. I've looked through Playboy magazines and found the photos don't 'float my boat,' I guess that means it's no longer a porn mag.

No, no, like I said - I get it. It's got genitalia in it. That's fine, but eroticism denotes sexual arousal of some kind, either conscious or unconscious. And I can honestly say that I don't find any of Geigers work like that in any regard, if anything, it's the exact opposite. Art means different things to different people though, and as I said, that's not really a discussion for here. It just struck me as odd when you used the term specifically to describe Geigers work. "Erotic"... not exactly how I'd describe his stuff, but... erm, yeah. Whatever.

Eroticism, yes, personally "erotic"... not so much.

EDIT: In re-reading what I've written, I think I owe you an apology. I don't think I was specific or clear in what I said. Let me clarify - eroticism is an art style, and Geigers work can be classified as that in an objective critical way; calling something "erotic", however, is a personal preference. You clearly said "erotic" and "hawt" in your original post, which is why it struck me as odd; what you're saying it that you, personally, find that stuff arousing - and I'm not judging you at all, I think it's just the first time I've ever heard someone say that about his work.

I know that, we even see him do magic on the PC in the trailer (neat-looking spell btw...). I just assumed that was a generic hurlock emissary (we know many of them can actually talk)

If so, I'd say that corruption was more a blessing than a curse.  I mean, he's got gold bling practically melded into his skin.

Is it just me or does it look like he could be someone that has regained his sanity after being corrupted, and gained an even greater power?

I totally thought it was the other way around, the guy in the chainmail being someone new, a more rogue-esque character and the mage-looking guy in the OPs first post was the architect as the entire look was definitely more mage oriented, in my mind. The first dude has more mage-type clothes on at least, more cloth based, ornate. The second is wearing chain, which i would *love* my mage to wear, but its got the one shoulder rogue/warrior thing happening.

I personally love that chain. WOuld die several times over to try to obtain said chain :)

It looks more 'stitched' than glued. Someone took points in Vicissitude.

You don't even have a boat to float! Image IPB

Anyway, yeah, this guy has some great bone structure. He'd be quite pretty if he didn't have the icky stuff coming out of his face.Image IPB

You can click the picture for a larger image.

I assume he gave himself a nose piercing sometime after he lost his sight.

Edit: And if you look at the side of his head, the tips of his ears seem to reach above his eyebrows.
