that means we have at least 3 powerful darkspawn emissaries to fight.

I'm still surprised. in the book he was descrived as being a "standard" darkspawn with milky eyes and walking around with a staff. when did he get transformed?

Interesting, the lich guy doesn't look like a darkspawn at all to me.
In fact, he looks pretty weak.

Damn! I was hoping for the hurlock thingy to be the Architect. But after all, I don't think I'd put this... thing everywhere should it (or is it now officially HE) be the Architect.
But seriously, can't really see the darkspawn in him... I mean... heh as ears! Apart from Shrieks and Genloks, no one has ears!

Lol... How can that even be a darkspawn... He looks more like an arcane horror with human/demon appearance. And in the calling they even decribe the architect as a hurlock emissary...

Edit: Or it was maybe Bregan, the grey warden, who looked like a hurlock... Hmm.... Now I'm confused
Well in the book, the architect got his hand cut off or something if I remember right...

so it is confirmed, this guy is a darkspawn emissary... is there a chance for the Architect to be one of the old Magisters, or do the books rule out this possibility?

I am not completly though the book yet, but from what I can tell, the exact nature of the Architect remains a mystery.

Sure, if we'd be all as diplomatic as Maria, now we'd know a lot of things...

So tell me... how did you take out that info? Cookies? Threats? You are somehow related to Gaider? HOW?!

As for who the Architect really is... I won't say anything precisely since I never read the books. BUT, considering he's more like a human, it could be possible. I mean... he looks more human-like then any other darkspawn out there (exclduing the Brrrroodmother)

I don't think so. if you read "The Calling", you'll see quite a few reasons for it not to share its secrets with anyone.

Why do you all think that the talking creature in The Calling-book is the architect? Everybody can pretend to be another person if nobody knows the real person.

The creature in the book is also only a lackey of the architect that fulfills his wishes.

The Emissary in the Book was a Aberration; he was only to fulfill his Dreams; maybe he was in some Way manipulated by Higher-Ups-Then-Darkspawn, but he surely is not the Architect himself.
He was clearly described as having Fisheyes and a lipless Grin with sharp Teeth.
That doesnt look like the Guy from the Pictures.
