Oh please. Like others have said, Jack may have just been confused or fooling around. This is not atypical of young people, especially those so purposefully inclined to rebel against authority and the norm as Jack is. At the very least, she's not interested in female shepard. May I remind you that Liara kisses female shepard, Samara expresses interest in female shepard, Kelly is a romance - or "fling" option for female shepard, morinth is a sexual option for female shepard, and there is the description of a lesbian relationship between morinth and a female human.
Notice how both those scenarios ended with being "smote by the rapture" .. ?
Kelly just dances or hugs, that's the morally respectable kinda of female interaction.

...except for the fact that Miranda is an advocate for Cerberus, who was the organization that tortured Jack as a child simply for biotics testing. And also the fact that Miranda calls Jack a "mistake." They don't get along, there is zero chemistry as far I see. At the same time, female Shepard can at least be sympathetic to Jack's troubles.KumoriOokami wrote...

lol, no your correct, she is..and they did record all the dialog for a few characters for the same gender romances. They all got cut. Reasons behind it are yours to decide, It's been " officially" stated or more so side stepped depending on how you look at it. but there are many may many threads on this if you want to search for it that can provide answers.
Where is this dialogue?

So? Morinth, one person, is to blame for both. Let's not forget that Mass Effect 1 had the lesbian sex scene between female shepard and Liara. I hope you are not suggesting that simply because sex is not explicitely available for a lesbian female shepard, Bioware is being offensive or insensitive.Talogrungi wrote...

Well also just because she might like some females that wouldn't automatically make femShep her type. I didn't really think they had that great of chemistry as much as I found Jack to be a really interesting character.
I thought Jack/Miranda had more chemistry than Jack/femShep. I definitely wanted a "why don't you two kiss and make up" option to resolve their fight. ^^;
Would the Normandy survive?

Didn't make any sense to me either. Jack is clearly bi or at least doesn't care. Maybe that's it. At first she doesn't care, but then if you comfort her enough she comes around and realizes that being bi is a sin. ME2 pretty much goes out of its way to quash any F/F relationships. I guess that means in ME3 if you are female and Liara is your LI she will have to die before you get too close to any pay-off.
I know, horse beaten beyond glue stage.

Liara isn't technically female, as Asari do not have two sexes.

Did they think she was too stereotypical to make her a lesbian love interest? She pretty much indicates her bi-nature in dialog options. Do you think they just left her out due to deadline issues?
Maybe because she wasnt gay?
Not everyone is

ME1 was released before BW was brought under the banner of EA.
Hence, my previous conspiracy theory that EA was responsible for the lack of homosexual content. There's no lesbian encounter with Morinth, she pokes you (not in a good way) and you die.

It is lesbian. The codex says that the Asari are an all-female race. Clearly, as Liara is of a female body shape and appearance, it is a lesian relationship.Moogliepie wrote...

Asari are not a bisexual race, and male/female have no true meaning for them. They are technically asexual, despite their appearances.

err isn't asari asexual?
Asexual means that a person isn't interested in sex: aside from Samara, name one Asari in the game that fits that description.

Also, the only other person she seems to have been in a deep and caring relationship with was another male. If she was to get serious with Shepard, it would be with a male Shep.

If the influence of EA was so strong over the direction of Mass Effect 2's romances, Bioware could just as easily gotten rid of the sexualities of Kelly, Morinth, and Samara. They could have had no mention that Jack has had sexual relations - to whatever extent - with another female. They could have done this easily, but they didn't, which leads me to believe that EA had little to no part in this.Talogrungi wrote...

"...male and female have no real meaning for us" is what Liara says, and I've always regarded the Codex to be written by humans for humans
