My point is, if we do find intelligent aliens, or they find us, we'll probably be able to screw them. If all else fails, they have to poop from somewhere.

As for Hybrids of different species in space, i wouldn't say it that its that far fetched. Turians and Quarians are very similar....
No. Just no. Amino Acid base is NOT a basis for similarly as a species. It'd be like saying, "Humans are just the same as Armadillo" because we have the same amino-acid base.
Hybrids in general...I doubt it. But hey, its sci-fi, so anything can happen (as Star Trek repeatly showed us, every other planet in the galaxy is populated by aliens who look exactly the same as us)
not just amino acids, phyiscally they are similar, which to me says that, more than likely, they evolved on similar planets with similar environments. I would say Quarians are somewhere between human and turaian based on their physical appearence. I am not sure which they are more similar to though because my view of their physical appearence is limited.

I wonder what impact your relationship with Tali might have on the Flotilla. It will be interesting to see if they call her out on it, considering he is her CAPTAIN and what not. Would they see it as inappropriate? Would they be happy? The Alliance probably has rules against it, but a Cerebrus vessel seems far more laissez-faire about the whole subject.

For reptiles and birds, most of them have a cloaca or internally stored reproductive organs.
Turians are bird-like, and Drell and Krogan are reptilian. Something to think about.
drell are mammals, actually.
live birth and all that jazz.
a dev described them as being "mammalian," but i see the point you're trying to make.
So does this shoot our "drell women don't have breasts" theory out of the water
Aside from some of the awkward posts, this is a very interesting topic. I am kinda curious how Shepard and Garrus would, y'know.

It sounds like interspecies sex is fairly common the Galaxy, so most of the kinks, as it were, have been worked out. I am sure Yeoman Kelly would know a bit about the subject as humanity's sexual ambassador to the stars...

Seeing how Quarian Captains can get married, and probably pick one out of their own crew for that, I don't think the "OMG he's her CAPTAIN!" part would be so horrible.
But you never know. Perhaps they'll try exiling her again or something. I'll just pick the blue text again and voilà!

Still, Quarians are big on controlled breeding. Will they accept a prime candidate like Tali giving her heart (singular?) to a human? There would be no chance of offspring and Tali's line, from her father and mother, would die with her.

Why does nobody complain about the turian on Illum trying to get into a quarian's suit? Or the krogan loveboy on Citadel that thinks asari have nothing to grab on to during?
Cuz humans are weird and squishy.

If you mean badass mofo's, then yes.
Imagine a marriage and child raising sim with Shepard. You'd get the Paragon and Renegade interrupts...which one would you choose?!

Do we even know for certain that all species evolved independently. Maybe we all share a common ancestor that the Old Machines or Protheans made?
No, that would be a horrible plot device IMO.
Anyway, why are people freakin' out over interspecies sex, Mordin gives shepard tutorials/porn that show him/her how to do "it".

Does anyone have any idea how it is that shepard can have sex with alien species? I ask this because i cant understand how it is that every other species has the necessary "equipment". I dont understand with asari, though i guess they use some wierd mind trick to acquire DNA.
Seeing as how the Asari probably give birth in a similar way to humans (they have breasts, a belly button that indicates in-utero placental development) etc it's safe to assume that sex with them wouldn't be all that different to sex with a human female.
However, how is it that Garrus, Thane, and Tali can have sex with shepard. Do Drell and Turian have a penis?
Of course. Didn't you see the Turian at the urinal of Dark Star Lounge in Zakera ward?
Do they reproduce that way?
Conception is probably similar to the human method, even if gestation differs.
P.S: does anyone have any idea how quarians reproduce? Tali said the most intimate thing they can do is exchange suit enviornments. Are they lab bred?
She meant both physically and emotionally intimate. It would be akin to a human 'baring their soul' to another.

I noticed that. The Alliance still has all the same rules regarding fraternization...but many of the other species do not. I'm wondering why that is. Also, and I'm sorry if this makes me sound ignorant, but why do we humans have those rules? I'm not familiar with the structure of the military command chain or the hierarchy, so I don't know why those rules exist.screwoffreg wrote...

Mostly so that an individual can't be accused of "favouritism". Also, because it can be seen as an abuse of power. There's a few angles to it.

I would very much like to see the Quarians' reactions to Tali and my Shepard being together. They would probably be a mix of positive (for streghtening bonds with other species) and negative (for some who only want Quarian-Quarian relations to keep up the Zorah line)

Evolution is not a single planet thing, chances are, other races would have to follow it as well, and while they may appear a bit different due to environmental differences, if they are the top of their planets food chain like us, and are developing like us in terms of tech, and other things, chances are very likely they will have two legs, opposable thumbs, the slot method of reproduction, a skull, and a variety of other things, just because these things -work- better then most other methods.
As for the other races means of reproduction, Quarians are apparently born, if you talk to Talis Aunt, she was at Talis birth, so it seems they do have live births, implying they do have all the parts needed for sex, Asari most likely have the parts as well, but its not 100% sure yet, as it really depends on if they give live births or not, we know they don't need it since they meld with the other person, and never had men on their planet, or at least I didn't catch that they did, so its possible they don't actually have the parts needed. Turians and Drell I have no idea.
