I'm just finishing up the last fight on my first Insanity run as an Engineer and I am debating about what to play for my next run. So far I have successfully completed the game as an Infiltrator twice (Normal / Veteran) and an Engineer soon-to-be twice (Hardcore / Insanity.)

When I played as an infiltrator, I was more or less loss when it came to tactics and understanding the class. I'm curious as to whether or not I should give it another shot on insanity or not. Either that, or deciding to play an Adept, Vanguard or Sentinel. In other words, anything besides a soldier.

Any feedback, advice, opinion is greatly appreciated. :D

Well you played two classes that do a lot of sitting back and chipping away at the enemy. Why not try a Vanguard for some up close and personal chaotic combat. It completely changes the way you play the game. Adept and Sentinel will be more of what you no doubt have done for 4 play throughs already.

Haha, you do make a valid point. It's just that playstyle suits me more. I'm custome to playing a sniper or range class in most games (Sniper specialty on Modern Warfare, Archer in Dragon Age, Hunter in WoW... Ahem. etc.) I tend to make a lot of mistakes when I go rambo and thus, die a lot if that happens. Playing conservative is my style. BUUUT, I am most definately curious about the class and I do intend on playing it sooner or later.

Sentinel is also a kind of sit back and use powers type class, and very well-rounded/suited to every situation. I recommend it highly.

Are there any threads / video guides that provide information about it?

Well if you prefer the laid back approach Adept is tons of fun. I think its much more entertaining flinging enemies all over the battle space than simply shooting them in the head. If you do go Adept you need to be very careful with your skill points in the first few missions or they will be extremely tough. You will also need to skill your squad mates to take advantage of your CC abilities. Unstable Warp and a second source of suspension (Pull) are very helpful. Thane with unstable warp and Jack with pull field + squad warp make a very good team for an Adept.

Still struggling with my decision, haha. I started an Adept and got past Freedom's Progress only to go back to my Engineer and finally beat that damn Reaper Larva. Now I'm trying to confirm my decision with playing the Adept or go with another class.

I don't think I will be going with the Sentinel for it's playstyle is too defensive and it doesn't seem to deal out that much damage, from what I have seen. The Vanguard seems interesting, but I'm still looking into it. Adept, so far, reminds me a lot of the Engineer (So far my favorite class in ME2) but it seems a little more slow paced than the Engineer. Infiltrator (Though I have indeed beaten it twice as an Infiltrator) still holds my attention mainly because I never spent time actually experimenting with the class. All I did was sit back and get headshots. Hrm... decisions... decisions..
