Ok, So I was under the understanding that if we beat ME2 with an imported character from ME1, if you started a second play through, then you would have your level stat's from ME1. At least thats what I got from this article from Kotaku..

I could be reading it wrong, but I would love to have my level 60 shepard back now that I finished my first play through of ME2. Any suggestions or did I misunderstand the article?
Will I ever have my level 60 character from ME1?

No? You will never get the stats from ME1 back. ^^
ME2 uses a complete new system.
When you start a NG+ in ME2 you keep all weapons from your previous playthrough and your level you ended ME2 with the last time...

CHT is right. You dont get your ME1 character stats back, you get your ME2 stats, plus whatever you accomplish in your second run thru. Goodluck and have a nice day!
