That aside, browse Rule 34 or 4chan for a bit and you'll find Tali/Garrus love a little less disturbing, welcome to the internet, stuff gets freaky.
Oh and FYI, I like them both on personality alone and Tali has some killer hips, 'nuff said from me on this.

Miranda has a really wierd ass, Jack is bald, crazy and has a crap load of tatoos (but puts on lipstick?),Tali has those creepy 3 fingers, chicken legs and 2 toes, Ashley has that wierd nose and Liara is the lovechild between a squid and a lonely old man and is... blue.
Also, they're sort of pixels.

Miranda has a really wierd ass,
Indeed.
Jack is bald, crazy and has a crap load of tatoos (but puts on lipstick?)
What's wrong with bald, crazy and tattoos? And keeping an image, for that matter?
Liara is the lovechild between a squid and a lonely old man and is... blue.
Two squid, actually
Also, they're sort of pixels.
Do you really think only 12 and 13 year olds play this game?
Shows just how good (even if cliched) Bioware can make characters.

Exactly! What man doesn't love blue, tentacle-headed, all-female space-elves?

What does that matter? Hot women are hot irregardles whether they are real, imaginary, photos, paintings, graphics or hallucinations

Lets summarise:
- Looks weird
- Screwed up hands and feet
- Annoying as hell personality
- Grating voice
- Useless in combat

Yeah, I don't get it either. Tali is probably one of my least favourite characters in either of the two ME games.
Lets summarise:I'm not seeing the upside. Why is an underpowered, ugly, extremely irritating character so popular among a large part of the fan base? I haven't got a bloody clue.

If there's something out there which you simply inherently dislike, nothing on earth will ever be able to make you fathom why other people like it, so you'll never be able to see an "upside".
I have my own personal dislike for Garrus gameplay-wise despite what others have argued. I base this dislike on the fact that countless times in my playthrough Garrus has been downed so many times I must have expended a truckload of medigel on him by the time the game was over. In fact at the expense of sounding narrow minded I have this belief that like Tali, Garrus is liked by people simply for being a familiar face from the first game, which somehow instantly garners brownie points.

There's not really any character in ME2 that I really don't like. O.O I felt like they did a great job of making sure no one was really annoying.
But yeah I really like nerdy girls in general, so Tali is very cute. :-D

Same thing with virtual, in case of Tali. Its just a game I know, but I instincively have same rules there too. She has those wierd legs and hands, but I do not care cuz I like her personality a lot. Meaning she is my favourite character (second is Garrus), and totally worth of romancing despite her quirks. If I do not romance her in my game, then I consider her sort-off little sister character which I drag around everywhere.

On topic:
Like everything it's subjective.
Like many others I find her cute and huggable. She has got the best personality of all the female LIs and is probably the most emotionally stable of the bunch. And who cares if she got only a total of 6 fingers and 4 toes with "chicken"-legs. The torso is far more important (and za hips.....by ze gods za hips).

That's a very judgmental way of looking at it. Looks are at least as important as personality. Nobody is going to want to go out with a person they don't find attractive.MaaZeus wrote...
Romance based on looks only is superficial at best, it has no depth and most likely wont last long.
Its a little weird that you would consider her both romanceable and a little sister. Just saying.MaaZeus wrote...

Yes, I wouldnt like to date a person who looks ugly either, but its not the most important factor if the relationship is going to succeed.
On the sister thing. Now that you mention it, I really worded that wierdly...

Jack: "**** YOU, **** ME, **** THIS! Nothing matters! I'm 75% naked with tattoos and practically no regard for human life! FEAR ME... and pretend you're surprised when I'm eventually vulnerable and crying. Cause I'm so broken. ****! Get away from me! Wait, don't... I dunno... ****!"
Tali: "Hey, Shepard! I'm nervous and awkward around you because I've got a crush, but I'm not going to dredge up all kinds of emotional baggage or play games with you. I'm pretty nerdy, I've got this suit issue, but I'm very straight forward, easy-going, intelligent, and sweet."
The real question is why you'd be interested in anyone else.

Dosent make any sense to me... Please explain
You should keep these threads to the 1000+ page one seriously. This is a waste of time. We don't need to explain why we love her to you. But it doesn't matter how she looks. She has a sexy voice, the personality most sci-fi guys like the smart engineer shy type. Shes hot in her own way tho shes got a killer body in my book. And I actually like her feet and hands. I don't get what theres not to like about the mysterious type.
Your tastes in exotic alien woman are just really dull to us man. You can't handle Tali, Tali is way out of your legue if you can't see past the suit and helmet. Nobody needs to tell you why. She just is! This is why no other character but Tali has the fan-base. The 1000+ pages of her... kind of make that obvious.

And the fac tthat garrus is a love interested becasue lots of people squeeeed loads about him after ME1.
i also think its osmthign to do with atitude, tlai's attidude is relaly sweet, i find that attractive. I also find jacks in your face bluntness attractive. What i don't find attractiveness is Mirqanda's passive agressive BS, althoguh if you puyt effort in she is much better. but thats how my first impressions.worked and in essence how i ended up bassing my LI choices in my first play through.

It just seems such a character has a lot of appeal to certain people. And there are a lot of such people. She was hot for me once though: when burning in the Normandy's engine compartment on the way to Collector base.Atheist Peace wrote...
