giving him up in ME2 probably will consequence in ME3. so maybe everyone else is missing out. My renegade vangaurd gave him up. My paragon soldier did not. So i can see if there is any difference in ME3. If you are a fan of mass effect you would try any option out even if you disagree.

My second character did give Legion to Cerberus. The effect was immediate... I somehow hoped the game would've let her play with her toy Geth a little longer.

Leigon is awesome...I can't even think of a reason to give him to Cerberus...well unless you want to join cerberus and have them be your team in ME3

As a person, a human being, a role player, an ignorant naive child, WHATEVER you have decided I am, I stand by my claims.

YES, I knew before playing the game that Legion was a squadmate and I knew I COULD take him IF I thought it was a good idea. I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how Legion would behave in the collector base, if he would help or hamper my mission in anyway. This is NOT an ignorant assumption, as up until getting Legion, we have been told that the Geth are humanities' enemy. I chose not to trust him. That's it.

I understand that Bioware wouldn't create a character to give me perpetual game overs, but Legion's presence stood a chance at perhaps endangering another squad member or the mission itself. Turns out it doesn't. So you can call me wrong...or too immersive...or whatever you like, but the fact of the matter is I made a decision that seemed logical at the time. In retrospect, I still stand by my decision because what Legion will do in ME3 is unknown. He could act as a homing beacon for the reapers or something. I don't know. Until then, you can be right.

Watching you stick your head in the sand is amusing. First your assertion that the geth aren't sapient is flat out wrong; BioWare disagrees with you. Secondly, you're throwing all the geth in one bucket, when they clearly don't all think alike or have the same goals. Thirdly, there are a bunch of squad members on that ship that could endanger others or the mission itself. And finally, the idea that Legion would act as a homing beacon for the reapers is just plain ridiculous. You're grasping at straws.

I think what this all boils down to is that you're simply racist against synthetics. That is why you condemn the entire geth for the actions a minority, and that is why you wouldn't give Legion the chance to prove himself. Your actions are not as logical as you claim.

I finished the game both ways so that I can see what happens later. 2 saved files waiting to be exploited:alien:

Um, of course I gave him to Cerberus. That's a no-brainer.

'Hmm, here's a Geth inside a ship controlled by an advanced AI. The Geth are enemies of all organics and have tried to kill me a million times. Guess I'll just wake it up durp durp.'

Jesus people, at best he's a schizophrenic toaster with a sniper rifle. Trade him the space bucks every time.

All I know is my Shepard survived Akuze and destroyed every Cerberus facility in ME1. He does not trust T.I.M. and blew the base up. Afterwards he picked the I'm doing thing my way and if you don't like it tough luck route.

No.  I did it on my first playthrough plus I left Grunt in his pod.  I wonder whether he'll still be there when i import it into ME3?

I guess I need to load up one of the saved end-games and go down and talk to Legion some more, sounds like I missed a lot of dialogue with him.

Legion killed Husks that were trying to sneak up on Shep, and called Shep by name. There was no way I was going to just space him or hand him over without talking to him first, end of story.

exactly, I always see people complaining when someone bumps an old thread, as if there arent any new people on the forum who werent around months ago and would like to comment on the topic thats been bumped

I don't think the actual presence of Legion will make much of a different in ME3... but the fate of the Geth "Heretics" will.

Bottom line: If you hand him over to Cerberus, you don't get to unify the Geth.

Yeah but if you activate a Geth on your ship then your Shepard is a doe-eyed, naive man-child and nothing will ever change that.
