I couldn't blame even the alliance nor the council since it may be that when they tried to retrieve Shep's body, it was already gone. Or maybe they thought you to be "just one soldier" where Cerberus saw you as an asset to humanity ect. Taking cerberus' viewpoint would make Shep full of himself, which wouldn't fit with the whole paragon thing

But Kaidan/Ash... Damn, that conversation must've been the most frustrating in the whole game. Basically Shep just shoved his foot deep into his mouth and just stood there while being accused of treason. That convo is just badly written.
