I found it pretty easy to be Paragon, since the Paragon options are all the 'troll Cerberus' options.

So true. I had a lot of fun with that. Shepard may be disenchanted with old allies but that doesn't mean he/she's going to fall into the arms of good ole Cerb-y so easily.

Please. PLEASE, stop being so ignorant. This is starting to become a really major troll thread. Read Redemption, or leave your misguided convictions elsewhere.

What do you want him to do, put on black eyeliner and run up crying to his quarters to write in his diary about how only MCR understands his pain?

Oh my god, the mental image. Shep flouncing off while Joker makes fun of him over the intercom and Shepard just cries harder.

It speaks volumes when mere moments after finding out you're alive you get lectured about how Cerberus is Evil. Newsflash, if Cerberus didn't exist neither would I, Shepard. Not a single one of your companions lifts a damn finger to bring you back to life. Cerberus does, just by that action alone Cerberus is worth more than any one of them.

Yes, because upon hearing that you're dead the most logical state of mind for a true friend is "NO GOD DAMN IT I WILL MAKE HIM LIVE AGAIN!". That's being driven insane through grief. Cerberus is the only group who would even consider it possible to bring you back. Considering how you feel your friends are worthless for not trying to bring you back from the dead, I'm really glad I'm not your friend...

How the crap were the ME1 companions supposed to know that resurrection was even possible?

Tali's antagonism is well founded, so I'll just steer clear of that one :). Also Liara fought the Shadow Broker to secure Shepard's body for Cerberus so she hardly gave up.

I couldn't blame even the alliance nor the council since it may be that when they tried to retrieve Shep's body, it was already gone. Or maybe they thought you to be "just one soldier" where Cerberus saw you as an asset to humanity ect. Taking cerberus' viewpoint would make Shep full of himself, which wouldn't fit with the whole paragon thing :).

But Kaidan/Ash... Damn, that conversation must've been the most frustrating in the whole game. Basically Shep just shoved his foot deep into his mouth and just stood there while being accused of treason. That convo is just badly written.

If its not in the game, I don't really care about it. You may not like it but I'm judging my opinions on the game by what is actually you know.... IN the game.

What was the point of that? If you're so bugged out about how Alenko/WIlliams are pissed off with you didn't you realize Tali was really the only person who thought about Shepard for those two years?

Is this what the world looks like from Taliland?

Hint:  it wasn't Tali who saved your corpse from being turned into Collector Chow.

Nah, it was just Liara who sold him to Cerberus. I let her find out how I felt about that.

You haven't gotten far enough into the game to see this, I bet.

It would be interesting to RP a Shep who's wildly pro-Cerb and anti-old crew until he makes this discovery, though.

I think some BioWare dudes had some real clingy girlfriends during the development process.

"Why haven't you called me? It's been like 2 hours."

"Uh, the game is going gold today dear.'

More than anything the Kaidan/Ash convo was what put me in a foul mood. Really though if the Alliance/Council still see you as one soldier even after you basically picked up the whole universe on your back and carried them to victory they fail pretty hard.

Okay, let me rephrase.
Please, PLEASE go talk to Liara T'Soni on Illium. She tells you the same thing you find in the comics, if you refuse to read backstory. Just stop with these threads. Just because you are too quick through conversations, and to begin hating people, does mean real information isn't there.

I'm pretty sure only Kaidan/Ashley give you crap.

Tali and Garrus pretty much shrug and step into line, Liara GAVE you to Cerberus.

And Wrex is....Wrex. I don't think he gives a poop who you're working for. He WAS a bounty hunter after all.

I still don't see what disliking the Alliance, Cerberus, the Council and Ash/Kaiden has to do with being Paragon or not...

Well,  a Renegade is more likely to show how pissed at them he/she is.

i concur, it's not like the normany crew's first reaction to Shep's death was "ZOMG WE GOTZ TO BRING HIM BACK" even though the natural reaction for just about ANYONE would be "aww damn, that sucks hard, RIP Shep" seeing as they have no access to the revival technology that costs a fortune anyway.
And we all know Cerberus didn't revive shepard to be new bestest buddies with him. we really don't know why they did that at all actually, the "your an icon, shepard" replies were too far-fetched for me...

Can we like...not have another Tali vs. Liara war?

It benefits NOONE.

Why would they leave you for dead? Hmmm...maybe becaues until Cerberus brought you back, dead meant dead. It was so prohibitively expensive that nobody but Cerberus could even attempt it. It was a fool's errand and an absurdly massive cred sink, but TIM did it.

And none of this has anything to do with playing paragon! Damn. I feel for the troll!

I wasn't trying to start a war...just saying I wouldn't want my body sold to a terrorist group.

A Tali/Liara catfight is most... intruiging.

As for the OP, keep playing the game.  You might find out some new information.

This in a nutshell.  Shepard was dead.  D-E-A-D.  Ceased to be.  Pining for the fjords.  Passed on.  They didn't lift a finger to bring Shepard back to life because... well... as far as they knew you CAN'T bring people back to life.  That particular 'sin' you really can't hold against anyone reasonably.

All the old squad members were happy to see Shep again, except for Kaidan, but that's because he's a big jerk.

It wasn't even that it was prohibitively expensive, it was literally seen as impossible. The Lazarus Project was completely new stuff, it wasn't just putting effort into a partially or mostly known thing.
