[Oak Tree Leaf]

I've been playing through this game just fine with this usual group until I hit an encounter I've never even had on my first 2 play throughs...

and holy cluster bat man I got steam rolled! (took a quick screeny to show what I mean, never seen this encounter before )

I don't even know what I did to make this encounter happen, but ouch.

Looks like what happens you you get caught stealing in Denerim. On my max-out XP game I tried to activate these encounters only to discover I was too good at pick-pocketing.

Boo Leliana is the one with pick pocket and she isn't even there!

This isn't exactly "instructional," but maybe this will give you some ideas. Looks like you're a fairly high level, based on the guards' armor... those fights can be pretty rough if you don't have good spells.

I watched, and I notice you lose alot of extra stuff that I havn't been, I've been trying to just use the 4 I have without a caster since every play through I've always needed a mage.

Never even thought about the Posion bombs (nor have I bought any posion recipes yet for zevran) Need to find some decent ones....

As for as my level goes, I'm a bit shocked at it, did the DLC and some chantry board stuff/mage guild/blackstone, and orzamar so far and managed to get as high as I am, I'm a bit thrown off, then again orzammar is a pretty big place XD

These posion bombs that you used, what kind where they? Or do you just use what you find (up until i got zevran I was using leliana and never even accured to me to use em, so i sold em )?

Starting to realise my struggling may be from not using everything my characters have access too

I just found those--acid flasks and soulrot bombs are pretty common to find. The fire bombs are a little more rare, but they all do the same damage. If you check around some different vendors, you should be able to find at least one recipe, if you've been selling all your bombs.



You can do it without a mage, but it will certainly be more difficult. Morrigan is definitely the star in the second one. I'd say for the fight you're on, definitely run back into the corner like you see me doing. It'll be harder since the archers probably have scattershot, but I think you can still do it.

Yea Never understood why I've seen people talk about nightmares in denerim with the archers until now, scattershot is so irritating xD

Did great! still needed a bit of health pots but those bombs worked wonders, didn't even know there would be a 2nd group, just ran away like before and did fine there too xD
