Honestly I think Dr. Chakwas is a cool character but not really a LI type character I've always seen her as the motherly character of Mass Effect. If anything I'd like to see her role expanded like Wynn from DA:O in that she's the older wiser person who Shepard can seek advice from, cause of her years of experince not a squad member or LI.
