I've been using the toolset for awhile now just for making head morphs; now I'm ready to delve much deeper.

My question is, how do you change and save other types of files (like .utc and .chr files) to have the modified versions show up in-game?  I don't fully understand it, but I know you must either check-out or use "open local copy" to modify anything.

I'll walk through an example of something I've tried, and hopefully someone can tell me where I've gone wrong: I open Alistair's .utc file and check it out so I can edit him.  I change the armor he's wearing when you meet him in-game.  I visibly can see the new armor on his model within the toolset.  I save the .utc, then check-in the file and close the toolset.  I start a new origin within the game and arrive at Ostagar, only to see Alistair still in his original flippin' armor.  What have I done wrong?  Many thanks to any kind enough to help.

you forgot to export the blueprint. so the resource never left the toolset and became a part of the game.

Exporting! Of course, thank you. Now given the example I mentioned above, what is the best way to go about exporting it in that situation? There are many exporting options, so I'd like to know the most ideal method. I would assume for such a simple modification, I wouldn't need to modify heaps of resources like in a 'full export'.

no simply export it with or without dependet resources. dependning on what changes you have made, ie is it only this resource you have changed or does it cover more blueprints ie what alistair has equipt is brand new aswell not only his setup.
