Bioware I have been really patient with you guys.
I havent complained through all the bugs.
I haven't complained about the broken game/website stat system.
I was patient when I downloaded your DLC and Patch that erased my specializations and made DA:O unplayable.
I was annoyed when I pre-ordered ME2 to get a special set of Armor that you forget to mention had an un-removable helmet, ruining any hope of using it and getting immersed in the story.
Now because your online servers are unavailable, I can't even play DA:O. When I load the game I get to the start screen and the menu doesn't appear. So it just sits there. if I load a offline XBox profile the menu comes right up. As soon as I'm logged in to Live, No menu.
It's not that much of a big deal, I can play something else. But the point is, you guys aren't keeping up your part of the bargain.
I buy your games, I just want them to work.
Fix them.
My game is now unplayable

I have the same problem :-(
Can't seem to play at all right now, since the DA:O servers are not online... WTF?

maybe they are going into some critical maintenance, it's 5-6 a.m. bioware/ea time, or something like that

Thats the most likely reason, but as I said in another thread it is unacceptable that a single player game becomes unplayable due to a server connection being down. It should have no effect on game play or even the ability to being up the starting menu!

you got the point. Support seems to be appallingly morphing its concept of debug and assistance into a mmog-like one. Maybe EA forced bioware into managing those titles like DAoC and/or Warhammer Online... Oh, my...

Ha, i came on here to complain about this as well. They need to fix this problem ASAP.
And yeah, i can care less that their servers have downtime, fine whatever, but it shouldnt block me out from being able to play my own game. Ridiculous.
Thanks for the tip about being off Live, guess ill have to do that for the time being.

Same problem here. This is just utterly ridiculous; first I have to wait several days after purchasing the game just to be able to download the DLC that was promised on the back of the box, and now because EA have dropped the ball yet again, people can't even play the game AT ALL.
I used to love Bioware, but it's clear that the days of fine Bioware products are long-since gone, now that EA's at the helm.

Well, I cannot play as well, that is about 1 hour of downtime... I don't know who was the mastermind of that policy, but anyone with 2 grams of brain can realise it's a very useless and retarded idea.

Sorry to double-post, but I'll also add that the offline trick (aka, yanking the network cable out in frustration) isn't doing me any favours; thanks to EA's brutally stringent DRM, I can't even load my character offline due to the Amulet of the War Mage being suddenly unavailable while not connected to the internet.

They could have atleast warned of an impending server update if that is the case, i havent been able to play for 10hours, no game should be made that you can only play if online if its a single player game.

I was able to play about 5 hours ago, but now.... nothing.

Agreed there should be some sort of server status website that has updates about these things. I'm pissed off, There is no reason to cripple the game, it wasn't like this in the past only since this DLC has appeared.
I love Bioware, but I have hated EA for years, they mess with good games and always have, before Bioware joined the EA giant I avoided EA games like a plague. I thought it would be different this time, how wrong I was.

Same problem here (X360)
The main menu never loads & i can't play the game offline because of the DLCs
*sigh* hope they fix this soon, I'm on the LAST quest.

I'm getting the same issue. Maybe if someone from Bioware/EA get on here they'll come up with a workaround - perhaps disabling the DLC/DRM check while the servers are unavailable.
Even an announcement on when the servers will be having maintenance would help.

this is truly BS, it's 10 AM EST here and I still cannot play my game. I very rarely complain and just deal with the glitches etc. but this is a bit ridiculous.
I would like to play the game I paid good money for please.
