Hi everyone! Sorry if this topic has already been posted, but a quick search didn't turn out anything relevant to my problem.
I just bought a Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition off Steam, and noticed a few issues with registration.
The first thing I tried is registering the game with my Digital Deluxe Game Key from the My Games->Register Games in the profile menu, and after a few seconds of loading a small box with evil red characters colors reported "Code is not valid for the game".
Because the Steam code did not have dashes while the Digital Deluxe description said otherwise, I tried both adding dashes every four characters and just to be sure I also tried the Promo Key and the Cerberus Key, none of these three worked.
I thought that redeeming the promo code may allow me for registration too in the process, but when trying to acess the Profile->Redeem Promo Code, after a few seconds of loading the page http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php reports this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getPersonas() on a non-object in /opt/www/social.bioware.com/webroot/redeem_code.php on line 31
I also remembered that the Blood Dragon Armor from Dragon Age was available for download through this site and I figured that being on the same page it may have allowed for another workaround for the registration issue while trying to downoload the Blood Dragon Armor for Mass Effect 2. Going to Profile->Your registered game promotions, the page http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php reports this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getPersonas() on a non-object in /opt/www/social.bioware.com/webroot/user_entitlements.php on line 152
I thought about going in from the EA site, but the links there point to the same pages, giving the same errors.
Using other browsers allows access to the code redemption page, but asks for login, and when I put my login data another evil box with red characters reports "Unable to connect to authentication server."
From the in-game menu, I tried to connect to the Cerberus Network. I thought this account may work for an EA account, and after writing my data in, another dialog box reports this:
Error
Communication with the Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or has timed out. Please try again later.
Scratching my head, I thought about making an EA Account but the same dialog box reports the same error.
Right now I'm about to bang my head on the desk to squeeze more ideas out of my grey matter, but I also think it may be a server-side issue on EA's or BioWare's part.
Oh and no, I do not use any kind of router or proxy.
Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just my network that completely screwed up everything?

There is scheduled downtime for another couple of hours. Wait a while a try again.
