after escorting the templar inside and killed some fire demon, and him mentioning to continue on. how ever the door is locked and cant be picked, the way out is now locked as well. how to proceed?

Yeah, that quest is very buggy. The only way I got past it was by controlling a character other than my PC throughout those parts.
