The ending (visuals) was a bit of a let down.
Thanks again, for a very good game!

Yesterday I had the worst experience so far; (SPOILER START:)
After getting the ashes to save Eamon:
1) Click on Castle at the map (5 sec)
2) Loadingscreen (3 minuttes)
3) Walk to Castle door (30 sec)
4) Loadingscreen (5 minuttes)
5) Walk to questgiver (30 sec)
6) Loadingscreen (5 minuttes)
7) Eamon wakes (30 sec)
8) Loadingscreen (5 minuttes)
9) Eamon thank me and tells about his plans (3 minuttes)
10) Loadingscreen (5 minuttes)
11) Quit game.
This is worse than in the commodore64-days!
Thank you for making this masterpiece, but PLEASE make a patch asap=)

With the JB Textures pack the game really comes to life though. Absolutely amazing visuals, though in some places I believe there could be improvements. Certain voice transitions were a bit awkwardly done and the lack of voice over for the main character (after choosing a battle voice) was a bit of a let down. Finally the lack of differentiation between the races and the lack of bodytype variation was also a let down especially after NWN2 and Mass Effect. Maybe an extension to the morphing characteristic allowing body morphing would help with that.
But the problems I am mentioning are relatively minor as the game is very good. Would have liked a little more depth to the gameplay and weaponry/armour, but the story was great and character association was really good too.

This is a PC that runs Crysis without promblems. Dont remember what CPU it is, but it is 6GB of RAM and 2TB HDD. Scores 5,9 on the Vista scoreboard.

Its prolly one of my favorite single player RPG's out atm, and cant wait for a real expansion (not that DLC short crap wich is one of the things i look down upon that Bioware even started with this)
I still prever with real expansion like in the old days, complete new settings and story and not added small quests in a game allready finished, and adding these small quests just feels like bout making pure profit as in adding something grand, Shale was nice, but too much, allready had way too many party members, Warden's keep utterly turndown on time needed too complete.. (even on Nightmare) not worth the money, should been free mods, by their size and adding towards the game, or should have been in right on the start..

When you kill an enemy, it would be great if it was possible to take his/her items instant. Like in WoW. Now they first appear 5 sec+ afther the death, so it is easy to believe there are nothing and then miss stuff.

Well im just super glad that bioware are on ps3 now
Still no ME or ME2 though. Even if they later port ME2 to the PS3, ME1 will never be ported because it's now sold for 20 USD and that wouldn't justify development costs. It remains to be seen if the ME franchise was completely locked in by MS or not I guess.

i was actually sad when it ended because it was such a great game.
Im looking forward for Dragon Age 2 or expansions post ending the game.
i liked the story with morrigan, and it deserves a follow-up
Congratulations for a great game

11) Keep playing the game.
*comforts* sorry your having so much issues dude.
At the same time..i have to say i love it when people compare programs running a dual core 2.0+ system with 4 gigs of ram and a video card with 500+megs on board to an archaic 8 bit system that ran with 64 kb of memory. Really the comparison is a bit off.
A comador 64..assuming you could get it to even run the code..would play dragon age like this
1) Load game (5 days)
2) Loadingscreen (3 days)
3) open map (4 days)
.....
?) Complete game (year 2150)

A dlc-pack that turns the light armor models for female PCs and NPCs from "stupid armor" into "sensible armor".
Less Xena more Jeanne D'Arc.

Cant wait for patch 1.02. This game is FANTASTIC (in my opinion the best singleplayer RPG ever), but almost unplayable with all the lagging and neverending loadingtimes (PC). This game is more buggy than Football Manager!

You are lucky. It is well known that some computers isn't hurt by the memory leak bug. My computer is a 6GB RAM 2TB HDD 512MB Nvida graphics 5,9 on Vista scoreboard. All parts of motherboard updated to latest drivers. It is not overheating. I have a lot of games and - except for Football Manager - I have never had any lagg or other problems. Including Crysis. Dragon Age is by far the most buggy game I have ever played.
It is weird that even if I turn the graphics to the very lowest, it is still the same lagging and horrible loadingtimes. Everything works perfect in 10-15 min, but after that: Lagging and 5 min loadingtimes. Life is to short for that! I'm stuck with the PS3 version now and it is a far worse game.
Please PLEASE make a patch Bioware

However, I AM looking forward to patches fixing things, and not having such long loads, as my computer is SO much more than capable...if i cna run Crysis, this game should not take so long to load..

This is the first game that, when I finished, I actually sat staring at the screen in awe completely through the credits. It helped that the soundtrack was amazing. And the artwork in the credits lent a 'movie' feel to the entire proceeding. Overall, I'd say you guys hit the ball out of the park with this one.

I've noticed the longer I play, the longer the load times. I got rid of a bunch of old saved games and things sped up considerably, so if you're having load time problems you may want to think of doing that.

I noticed that too, load times are longer while playing longer, though I still insist on fixing the dlc problem first, as that mostly consists of people who actually paid for something and were unable toretrieve it...., IMO you should be able to download from the site too and manually download stuff...

Wonder if this patch will be out with the DLC. Heck maybe you have to get the DLC to get the patch! Think of all the money they could make.
Hahaha, that won't happen. If it would ever happen, that'd be the end of the line for me.
I'm still pissed off there are traces of DLC that I don't have activated in my game (Levi Driden at camp, Merchant map destination for Shale, and probably something for Ostagar soon)... I prefer to play without DLC because the original was balanced with whatever things were in the game originally. Shale is too power NPC, his crystals takes up precious inventory space... And the online verification for DLC is BS too because I will want to play my game on laptop during travels and internet connection is not always available.
I guess I'm not a good customer since I don't want DLC ! I prefer expension packs that I can buy on a physical disk.

Thanks again for the great feedback folks.
Another week - and some pretty awesome progress on 1.02 patch. Some of the proposed issues were a bit touch and go this week, but the QA & tech team really pulled it off - we're getting very close now. We should have specific info to share with you next week, such as a proposed release date along with the actual list of issues being addressed.
Console update work has also started and yes, at the top of what we would like to address for the 360 is the achievement unlocks for those of you that did those early in our launch week.
Beyond that we're doing the finishing touches on Return to Ostagar and should also have more info to share with you on what you can expect in our upcoming DLC, plus talk about the release date.
Nice short update this week. Hope our US players had a great turkey day yesterday, and wish everyone a good darkspawn slaying weekend!
Hopefully we will hear from you about this shortly, its been a week. Any news of specific progress or patch release info would be greatly appreciated.
