Can we has update.....plz. XBL Lists DAO DLC and Avatar Items as "Coming Soon......I thought the avatar clothes would be out this week but thursday has passed and I haven't seen them yet which likely means next thursday at the earliest. At any rate it would be nice if we could get a solid date or something.
the avatar clothing have been up for download the past few days.

One suggestion I would make is seperate the weekly updates into a new section on the forums. Going thru 12 pages of this thread is hard and isn't fun.
Thanks!
You know you can click the BioWare logo right under the thread title to see the developer posts only right? It doesn't matter if this was a 3000 page thread.....clicking on the BioWare logo under the thread title shows developer posts only and makes it extremely easy.....a no brainer in fact....to find the needle in the haystack.

- The new ad in the launcher is fine as long as it's only about DA. It's the game I've purchased, so it's the game I could be interested in buying more stuff for (DLC, expansions, novels). I hope you can use it to announce the patch releases, too.
- Other people have mentioned that they are seeing a WK ad when they already bought WK. So, to improve the system, it should check which stuff is already installed and skip the ads for that content.
- The old in-game DLC sellers topic: so far, only Levi Dryden is around, but Return to Ostagar is coming, so another NPC will join him soon, and there will be more in the future. I still believe there should be a toggle for these sellers. If you are interested in buying DLC, you can do so from the DLC menu, and with the new launcher ad, you won't miss the release. I admit that ignoring these characters is not a big deal, but still, I'd feel more comfortable if I could use an official toggle so they won't show up unless I purchase the content.

Wait a second.....let me get this straight.....are you saying that Return to Ostagar will add an NPC that will talk our ears off about the NEXT DLC after Return to Ostagar? I would hate that simply because the wait would probably drive me mad.

No, that NPC (the "fellow survivor" as it is referred in the addon section) will talk us about Return to Ostagar, just like Levi talks about Warden´s Keep.
But only the people that own Return to Ostagar will have him which means he won't bother anyone.....unless they force him in a patch.

Once RtO is released, the plan is that everyone will have the survivor installed in the game (don't ask me how), and if we haven't bought the DLC yet, he will offer us to purchase it in-game.

They will force him. That's precisely why I have asked for a toggle. Those who have not purchased Warden's Keep do have Levi Dryden in the game. He serves as another way to purchase the content (see the game's nomination for Gamespot Most Despicable Use of In-game Advertising).

Well they are making a patch for the 360 that will be required in order to play RtO......it cold even be that it is required because the RtO purchase itself won't contain the quest giver. I don't particularly mind because I'm getting it ASAP either way but I can see how people may be ticked off.

Hey Rodro
Im sure I've read somewhere here that another NPC will not be added to your camp, a map marker will be used instead. If memory serves me correctly Im pretty sure that info came from either a mod or dev otherwise I would'ent have taken it to heart.
Anyways I hope I've got my facts right ,
cheers all.
ps: where's my slit Levi's throat mod

I hope at some point Bioware will add:
--An option to show/hide helmets
--An option to autoloot all
--An option to keep in-game announcements (codex entries, quest updates, etc.) onscreen until you click them off
--Better-looking mage armor
--A new mage companion character (Jowan, perhaps?)
--A "labels on" option (that does what the tab key does, basically)
You have designed one awesome game, Bioware. Thanks so much.

well like every1 els i would like to say that DA is The best game i have played to date, and playing games has been a very big part of my life, i especialy like RPG cause they can take u into a world beond this 1, u can be a knight in shining armor, fighting for a code u hold dear to your heart or becoming a mage a get to enjoy the feeling of roasting ur foes with a well placed fireball, and getting the damsel in destress ur full attention after a hard days work of saving the kingdom etc.
i hafe to admit that bioware has had Alot of hits over the years, baldurs gate, baldursgate shadows of amn, NWN and ofc all of the nwn exspantions, nwn2 and There exspantions. my god ppl i dont know who is paying you to make these games but they should really gif each and every1 of u a pay raise and start funding more of these RPG cause they r the Bomb, thx for yet another mile stone in rpg historie!!
i do have something to ask you, when can we see a Big exspantion?
will u open up the other lands or will it just be ferelden? can we get to see orlay? the black marshes.
well there be a werewolf class perhaps?
will u add a secound toolbar for spells?
is there a place on this forum ppl can go to contribute ideas to ur exspantions, like classes, spells, companions maybe?
if so point me in the right direction and stand back cause god damn my head is bursting with ideas of classes, plots, npc, chars, loots and land scapes.

There of coarse some things i unlike - too many loading areas like houses (omg Denerim loading is pain).I think creating the game more like "open world" (Witch for example) , would be much better.
I wished a big project like this RPG will have a free world playing after the end but ... i will just hope for an expansion ... Morrigan getting away before or after the end is just lame(so many items and so many gifts and bla bla).I will kill her with great pleasure in the future if i have a chance
Also you should buff rogue archer and mage shapeshifter...
Well this is a great game , and gladly its running on less powerful computers /cheers

and would it kill u bioware to put a small few enchants on some of the items (like the dalish elven leather set) i mean the dwarfs hard tough hardy folk there leather should give 1 to hp or stamina etc
and i would love to see more items, weapons even if they dont have unique enchants on them.

My apologies for missing the last updates. I've only now managed to sneak away for some time on the computer
Since the last update, if you are still wondering:
- The cool items I referred to were indeed the 360 Avatar items! The red blood dragon t-shirt is pretty sweet.
- The announce that some fans would like was the Mac version.
Since then, we've just put out an official update for Return to Ostagar DLC and released the video for it in the add-ons page. The release date for PC & 360 is set for Jan 5. PS3 will come out later. I did a update on the RtO thread if you are curious about more on this.
RtO for consoles will come with title update #1 (patch). More on what is included in the TU closer to the date.
We've also brought in Victor W to join our ranks - one of Victor's first tasks will be to help clean up for forum organization a little. So we will see an official BW posts area, where things such as this update will be located - and separate threads for the actual discussion points (good suggestions btw)!
Work on the PC patch continues - but with the holidays this has not really progressed very much since the last update - look for more news in the new year. We're targeting fixes for the DLC downloader as well as what memory leak/slow downs we have been able to reproduce so far, and continue working directly with some members of the community to get more details on others. We'll put out the official list of fixes closer to release.
Happy holidays! (must sneak back to family once again)
