Didn't read all of this, just wanted to say that I am so truly addicted to this game that I have a hard time doing any thing else. I have done all but 1 origin story adn currently have several characters going. My favorite is a lvl 10 common dwarf rogue female, who just became a duelist - which really makes her dangerous. She is dual wepon and has oath breaker with a +2 flame and olaf's dangerous cheese cutter(or whatever) with a +2 flame and a +4 lightining. Using Zephran, sten and Morrigan with her - having a blast. Have the elves on my side, and have the keep secured. Am now in the Dwarven city where the Nobles hate my common ass. I really love the background dialogues between some of the characters. Morrigan and alistar, or Zephran. Sten is just grumbly which is great. Also loved the Dog but it is hard choosing who to take and who to leave. GREAT GAME, better than a lot of the movies released recently and you get to be part of it too. Thanks. now I need to sleep.

First off before people go crazy thinking I'm a DA hater, I just want to say that I do like this game. It's well done, and has a pretty decent story that's easy to get into. The problem I have so far is the dlc, and I hope Bioware takes this game seriously, and release good dlc like Bethesda does in the future. I bought the warden tower dlc and I'm very disappointed is anyone else? I paid like 7 for very very little content. Given the size and scope of the 60 dollar retail disk I excepted more content for something I pay 1/9 the original price for. This is very much the equal to Oblivion horse armor I just want them to release good dlc, not the crap they released for Mass effect after hyping dlc up for it before release. It's a good marketing technic but bad for those of us the get ripped off for little content. Also can anyone tell me why the stone prisoner is 1200 points? That's like 15 dollars and I only know of the quest to get him, and his plot quest. Is there really 1/4 of the retail disk content in that 15 dollar dlc. I mean I got it for free like most people, but that's pretty much extortion to encourage sales at launch. Anyways I hope people don't take this out of context and think I'm slamming this game, I just hope people make bioware aware that we want premium content that's justifies the price by game play. Bioware please do better then the crap you released for Mass Effect, is anyone with me on that?

Download of the game went just dandy through Steam, DLC was a bit more tricky, but a full restart of the game fixed that issue, and everything got downloaded in short order.

So far the game runs quite nicely, there appears to be a bit of a memory leak going on with the "pop-up" screens for looting and such (as they get slower and slower after an hour or so). But other than that, it works just fine, FPS feels decent enough.

My Memory Band ring appears to have lost it stats, no other bugs as of yet, so great job.

With your continued support this game will remain awesome for quite a while yet.

I dont konw if this is the place but its is kinda of unfair that the rest of the world didnt get Dragon Age the same day as the US did..... I know probably was because of the server stuff , but as of today November 8 , here in Mexico is not out!!!!!

And the store clerks dont have a clue of when..... Wasnt supposed that the idea of joining EA will be to have better and faster distributions of Bioware games? Or do I have to wait months for it , weeks???? I snatched a Digital copy from Steam tho , but my computer cant handle the game l , kinda knew that , so I preordered a Xbox 360 version just in case expecting to at least have it by this weekend , but nada , no game no play and all is left is an irritated let down fan who wanted to play a cool game since last Tuesday Nov 3.

Now I have purchased 2 versions of it (thats how I much like you guys) , but I what I get in return???? Long hours of waiting , no answers , and the disturbing thought that the same will happen when Mass Effect 2 goes out. Dont you know that many fans dont live in the US/Canada , and as fans we want the same treatment from you as you give to the US/Canada fans, is that much to ask? Sorry to bother you with this but where else can I say (type) it??? Good day :(

I only hope that future DLC will be something along the lines of Neverwinter Night's premium modules.

Congrats on how low the bug rate is in this game, I've only had one minor bug so far (game didn't recognise combat was over) and no crashes at all. That's extremely good for a newly launched massive RPG in my experience. Very impressive standard of quality and polish.

Really nice post and lots of detail... You have many many ppl even though not though the game drooling for more DLC , I so happy to hear to have dedicated team working full-time on future DLC I dont mind paying for a good DLC expansion. Nor do i think any DOA fans do and I'm sure the team will be nice and throw some small freebies in :)

Grats thanks for all the information. What I like to here is copies sold total! Alot of ppl think single player RPG's cant be profitiable or they are dead.... WRONG DOA PROVES IT!

an absolutely awsome experience, few minor issues not withstanding, but why oh why no co-op gameplay........this game would be one of the all time greats(not that its not up there already) if you could experience it with friends.....

did have some random crashes in redcliffe castle......just as you climb the stairs to tackle the revenant in the courtyard.....but other than that performed perfectly.

looking forward to more/better/longer dlc......

Bioware i salute youImage IPB

Thank you for a most detailed explanation of the issues as well as the solutions and future activities. Quite often such things are 'softened' or hidden under a wall of hype (even if well deserved) and I find direct honest communication like this a very good tool for repairing and strengthening the trust between you and the wider community. Appreciate the time and effort spent so far and ask the rest of our gaming community try to temper frustration with patience. Have faith that its in the developers best interests to build long term goodwill with us by addressing the issues with a  balance of speed and quality. Its better to take the time to resolve things properly than do a quick fix and potentially make things worse. We should all try to act as partners and not enemies when things aren't going as smoothly for some of us as we want. In the long run it works out much better for all involved.

Yes, I wholehardtedly agree. Having such a wonderful frank explanation of the situation is very refreshing and I have yet to see a game developer being so honest and open about the problems at launch. This is expected as the technology is rather new and never yet experienced before like this.

I am thinking TOR MMO will be much smoother having learned all these valuable lessons of a stand-alone game. :o

I have spent 6-8 hours verifying all latest drivers & updates, re-installing, changing settings etc.   Running Geforce 8800 GTX & 64 bit Vista... FREEZING UP EVERY 10 MINUTES.  Support is EXTREMELY POOR / non existant! Looks like a decent game.... but I will not sugar coat the launch.  PLEASE ... make the game work before allocating resources to DLC and such nice to have crap.

'Dunno about the PC version, but you certainly did a great job getting the PS3 one to run well. I was honestly slightly expecting a bit of a gimped port, like what Bethesda has given us with Oblivion and FO3, or Sega with Bayonetta.

But instead, I get a great game with all the features that runs perfectly and will ACTUALLY allow me to play the same content as everyone else at the same time as everyone else (Assuming I pay for it, at any rate).

So thank you for not screwing me over Bioware. It means a lot. Whenever I get a 360 or worthwhile PC, I'll be sure to find both Mass Effects (Assuming you haven't decided to go ahead and make a PS3 version by then, which I assure you I and many others would buy.)

Oh, and even if you DON'T end up coming through on the "Mods for consoles" thing, thank you for at least TRYING. If you DO come through on it, well then you're just my goddamn heroes. Maker be ****in' praised, Ancestors revered, and Old Gods given a firm handshake.

Good lord this game is a thing of beauty, even on the 360 with the blurry textures in certain places.

I am enjoying the game alot.

A couple things though:

The memory band does not seem to have any stats on it for some reason.

The looting screens are cumbersome and kind of annoying how looting is done.

Everything else is running smooth like cream, DAO is yummy!
