Well its pretty darn good so far. I'm annoyed that so far the conversation choices haven't reflected how I'd like them to be. For example I want to play a sceptic when it comes to anything to do with the Maker and the evils of Blood Magic. So far I haven't had muc chance which is disappointing but hopefully I will as things go on.

I hope that Bioware does produce some quality add-on content and third party premium modules.

But mostly I'm hoping the game is successful so that it will allow a sequel and for the franchise to grow.

I am really bored as I am not at home so I am deprived of my dragon age. I got into reading the best lines. I having a great time reading them (though I generally dislike spoilers). What I find wonderful is that lines I already saw in game even now make me laugh out loud.

Someone in that thread wrote: if I stop killing for more then 30 seconds then my party is dedicated to making me laugh.

They manage :D

Well, every spare moment I had since last Tuesday has gone to playing this extraordinary game. Having completed my first play-through today, I can say this has been one of, if not THE best experience I have ever had with an RPG, maybe even a video-game in general. I love BioWare, and with every new game you guys release, I get even more reason to. I can't wait to start experimenting with the toolkit, and starting a new game with a new origin story, and trying to follow a new path through the campaign.

Congratulations, for you have all outdone yourselves once again.

This is my all time favorite rpg so far. I never played BG I & II but loved NWN and liked NWN 2.

Kudos Bioware. Well done indeed.

I look forward to a lot of DLC and user created mods, adventures. Hopefully it wont be more than a year before we see a proper full length expansion....

Loving the game so far, I adore just how ambiguous everything is. for me, any game that lets you fight big ass Dragons is a good game, and this is the best so far, truly, fighting the Dragon's in this is an awesome experience. I prefer a much more hands on approach to combat in my games, much more of a button mash than issuing commands, but I find this game strikes the balance beautifully and makes teh combat satisfying. I love some of the smaller set pieces, when you stumble across battles between Darkspawn and some knights or Dwarves etc, the battles are so well presented it feels so much more...real...I supposem than anyother game. It is beautiful to experience.

Playing 360 version, so not sure if this is a problem on PC, but it IS bothering me that when I get items as rewards, it doesn't tell me what it is, it just says 'item recieved', then when searching the inentory, items seem to be thrown in haphazard, new items don't appear at the top or bottom all the time, so it can be a royal pain in the lumps trying to find what new item you have if you're carrying a fullish backpack.

That and the mages hats all look bloody silly, any chance of some circlets or something instead? Oh, and why is Zevran Cuban?

I can't wait to see what DLC comes up and I haven't even finished my first playthrough yet! I'm Hoping for some origins stories for the other party characters, made specifically for solo play, it would be awesome to play through something just as Morrigan or Shale, or even TopGear Dog (my hound), well Ok maybe not that last one, but all the others would be interesting to experience.

Whatever you do though Bioware, please keep up the tremendous quality of the core game, not like Bethesda with FO3 making some very very poor DLC that just desn't live up to the main game. If it's a choice between those little DLC's and a big solid expansion (such as Shivering Isles or Shadows of Undrentide), definitely go with the big expansion, they are much more satisfying to play.

I think thats all I really have to say, well, that and, thank you for such an epic game, my genuine GotY so far (yes including CoD:MW , Batman: AA and Uncharted 2, I think this game tops them all effortlessly).

Man, this game is just so rich, I can't even imagine what could come next.

In the PC version the new items have a bright yellow frame which is somewhat helpful in this field. I don't know if it solves your issues or not.

i waited a few days to see if I could cool down before looking for simple contact details to express my displeasure after starting this game. Those days have just left me angrier since the intent seems to be to railroad me into this 'community' site for such comments. I have seldom felt so manipulated and insulted as I have by the warden's keep NPC in party camp. Nice job knocking yourselves off the pedestal i've seen you on :P. Community my arse.

Thank you for posting the statement. It really helps to know which problems Bioware is focusing on and attempting to resolve.

I would suggest you repost the initial message in the technical support forum. I'd been looking all over there to find something like this. I'd also suggest linking it in the twitter feed or the news section at the front of the site.

Honestly, I think people get almost as frustrated by a perceived lack of attention/care as they do by the technical issues themselves. Having something like this post in a place where people can easily find it might really help some of the resentment and ill will.

I'm on the 360 and haven't had any major problems except for the rogue/dex issue but as I get closer to 40 hours played I'm getting really nervous that my save files will become corrupted.

Thanks again for the post.

Great post. It's excellent to see BioWare putting that extra effort in communication with players. I'm having great fun with DA:O and looking forward to see further improvements on the social site as well as freshly baked DLC.

Keep up the good work!

I looks forward to a new Origins game in a couple of years, expansions don't satisfy the desire for a full game, they just stem the tide. Bioware understands this I believe and will obviously continue supporting Dragon Age: Origins with new content like side missions, items, and what not, but a sequel is already in the works.

I bet the new game will take place in Orlais or the Tevinter Imperium. It seems to me Bioware has created an Morrowind type world with which to create a wonderful and epic story. This of course will span many years and games. Keep up the good work Bioware.

It's good to see you will update the game, and thanks for reassuring my DLC might not be gone forever... Now I can only hope you will live up to this promise. If this get fixed allong with any other issues that might occur or have been occurring this very well may be the best game of the year.....

for me it will probably be the best game for two years then, as I do not have that much interest in any of sci fi stuff, I like this universe way better...

Again, I appreciate this game and this post.  However, there is something that concerns me.  In the list of issues above, the issues with profile uploading / refreshing is not explicitly cited.  I believe that this needs to be looked at because it there is no evidence that anything is happening on it.

I just created my second character on my 360 version last night in hopes that it would spur some activity to the profile information here, but I am still the same 7th level character I was last Friday Nov 6th which is AFTER all the server upgrades were done.

I understand that everything has to be prioritized and those features that generate revenue will be given highest priority.  It would be nice to hear a status on the profile refreshing issue.  I would feel a lot better if I even knew that my profiles had been successfully uploaded to the DAO servers.  There is zero feedback unless you cant' connect to the servers themselves.

Thanks again for a great game and all the effort.

as you said, priorities, let them fix the game before we can enjoy boasting about our characters... though I agree that If they want that feature they shouldn't use half the effort in it...

I am disgusted with the after sales service for this game. I have paid £39.99 for the Digital Download via EA Downloader, and it is downloading at between 0.00kb/sec, to 35kb/sec, currently telling me it will be downloaded in 53 hours!!

That is just nowhere near good enough in this day and age, no matter how many people are online or downloading. It is pathetic and needs sorting very quickly, I am definitely not impressed with this at all!

I love the game but I've found a few annoyances so far in the PC version:

You can't use the arrow keys, tab (forward one field)/shift tab(backwards one field), enter/escape in certain menus (confirmation to destroy an item, selling items, the menu that comes up when you hit escape, saving files) and are forced to use the mouse.

For some reason about the time I got to the Deep Roads (which was also after I used the patch) my party would sometimes just not do anything even though the tactics haven't changed.

There is a 500 filesave limit on the PC. I save often, especially after my experience with KOTOR (had to completely restart the game from about 3/4 full because of a game killing bug). There should be no limit other than disk space.

I am running Windows 7, and rather than putting everything in My Documents\\My Games\\ like every other game I have bought, it puts it in My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age

Over all though, I love the game.

I must say that Bioware reputation speaks a lot. Thats why many people support them and if they remain true they'll have best selling titles for years to come. Thanks

Have to say i'm enjoying the game.. first game i've not beaten in a day in a while..

Now I won't go as far to say as it's the 'King' of RPG's .. not yet, the lack of Multiplayer support kinda kills it being the 'king' least in my eyes, part of what made NWN the game that has lasted so long is the Multiplayer after all.. Also honestly DA:O we won't know if it is the new 'king' until a few months or a year when and IF the community still exists.. If you see Combined Community Packs etc then DA:O will have shown it's gonna continue to grow.

What I'd like to see from bioware at the moment? another patch, this one that Address's the Memory Leak that is very very obvious to us all, also the fact that certain items seem to occasionally 'vanish' from load to load.. I mean i went in just now and found Alister well... butt naked :/

Overall though an Impressive release from Bioware this time around, I am GLAD That we have this on PC.. Consoles are great but honestly the PC will beat a Console hands down on a RPG anyday.. especially a Tactics one.. They have put out a release that was better then NWN's.. the Story is deep and the world clearly well thought out.. The fact that every person has a 'reason' for doing what they are doing is also good.. I like that fact but then ever since BG i think we expect the companions to be more then just cardboard cut outs right?

If they get the bugs fixed and then start giving more content and or multiplayer I think that DA:O will continue on for a long time.. it really lies in Biowares hands now.. or I should say EA's.. Now.. if only Mass Effect 2 was out already :P I want to get back to being shepard and blowing up geth ;)

I love the game ... but i do think that normal difficulty is still to hard to play through... and also a bit less area transitions and more open spaces to go from one main area to another (just minor complaint ... if you can call it that)
