U should never have to pay for extra content in an rpg unless it is years later! Why should u have to pay for extra content on an rpg days after it is released? What a ripoff!!!
Was it the Bioware or the EA thugs that visited you and forced you to pay for the extra content?

has it ever occurred to you that EA could have been behind this scheme? bioware has always released DLC's/Expansions after a long period. you could look back at the games that bioware has released and then come back here and try repeating what you said... every one knows that EA and Activision/blizzard are money hungry companies, and guess what, i don't blame them! why you ask? tell me what company doesn't want to make money.. c'mon, i dare you..
knowing bioware, they could have included the dlc's into the original game, but then again they don't have much of a choice since the publisher is EA. seriously, try looking deeper into the matter before you speak. it just shows that you are one of those ignorant people who has a talent of sticking their foot up their mouth.

how vile ! No one should be forced to buy DLC!!
/sarcasm
I can see the DLC as obviously being marketing, you either buy it or you don't. regardless great game bioware, I really can't stop playing it, didn't even play MW2 when until days later after it came out because of this game.

U call me ignorant...bad mistake. U r obviously some lonely toad with nothing left to live for. I know ppl that dabble in making money and make a good product. They don't try to undercut other ppl to make more profit...they just do their thing...and the ppl u know?Cormai wrote...

Nice post and good explanation of things thanks. Sad to see no mention of the issue I and some others have experienced with the Digital Deluxe version of not being given a code for the 3 Collector's Edition items. I'm still waiting to hear back from EA on a ticket raised on this issue after several days and meanwhile resigning myself to having to do without these items for my entire 1st playthrough
I had no issue. My download was from Steam. You go to the bioware social site (this one) and put in your deluxe code (found in steam by using Shift-Tab). Then, go to the "downloadable content" section when running the game. You will find all bonus content you are eligible for. This includes bonuses earned playing the flash game on the Bioware website. Also, try to only download one thing at a time. I found that downloading several at once caused the downloads to fail when downloading one at a time resulted in faster and succesful downloads.
So far, it's all aces. Not a single crash in over 10 hours of play done in two sessions.
Let me know if you still have any problems with bonus content.

Please give us more expansions ASAP!
Also - why do I have to be online to play my DLC? What if I want to travel or have an outage?
Thanks again!

I'm glad you had no problems but I do wish people would stop assuming that the problem is at my end! I also got it from Steam and put my code in correctly to obtain Blood Dragon Armor, Warden's Keep & Stone Prisoner. I also have Lucky Stone from char creator. However I don't have the 3 collector's edition in game items and it's not because I magically screwed up the code.
Some people are saying it's an issue exclusive to the UK buyers of Digital Deluxe edition. Steam have more or less said it's down to EA / Bioware to sort out (insofar as they seem to understand the problem which I think they do now) and I'm STILL waiting for a response from an EA support ticket.
I know it's not the end of the world but, frankly, it's getting quite frustrating that there's no official comment on this whatsoever. It would be nice if Bioware or EA or someone could at least explain what has happened and give some idea of when to expect resolution.
