you used Andruil's blessing belt, the spellward amulet and lifegiver ring ?
because those give very big bonuses for a mage, rogue or warrior. i think i will unequip them in awakening

Too early to tell really. Enemies could possibly be wearing even better stuff than that. In fact, they probably will.

Did they make DA:O too easy for you? Even if they did, logic dictates things will be harder in Awakening.

yeah but you start lower with awakening from what i've heard. lvl 15. i might not use the items in the beginning

You only start at 15 if you start a new character or transfer a character lower than 15. If you transfer a level 20 character, you'll still be level 20.
Besides, if it's too easy, you can always raise the difficulty. It beats intentionally gimping yourself.
Edit: Now that I think about it, my favorite mage is wearing all three of those, as well as the Reaper's Vestments and the Staff of the Magister Lord. I think I'll play him first.
