I started with a level 54 import and got to level 28 while on the platforms leading to the final fight. I did everything, but give that Asari the fake ID, which is only 40 exp (not enough to get me to 29). I think getting to 30 on the first playthrough requires a lvl 60 import.
On just playing mass effect 2 whats highest level you can reach??

I imported a level 30 vanguard, played as soldier. Did everything and i hit level 30 like 3 or 4 enemies before the game ended. It was a proud moment for me. It is possible and i got lucky.

I can't have been unless he is playing the 360 version and it gives more experience, which I doubt. I'm fairly sure than my level 54 started off at a higher level then his level 30. I combed the entire galaxies and only ended up at lvl 28. It had to have been his second playthrough.

Yes, it was my first playthrough in ME2
Oh and sorry, i was an idiot. I meant to type level 60 vanguard.

ive gotten all the acheivements for the game including the "powergamer" acheivement for getting level 30.... the burn is u can't go higher, past level thirty u just recieve ur normal 1256 xp for story missions or what have you, but in the squad section of the menu, it no longer displays ur xp to next level up, even if playign it on insanity difficulty... thats kind of disappointing... this means you can't max out your characters powers, cuz u no longer recieve squad points:ph34r:at least they give you the advanced training and retrain options so u can experiments with different powers being maxed out, that is if u have the element zero to blow

I imported me1 character as well, beat me2 at lvl 28, and hardly did any anomaly quests, so idk what some of you are saying 22 or so. Idk.

If you start with a new character you normally finish at level 26. With a level 50 import you can finish at level 28. It is only possible to reach level 30 in your first playthrough with a level 60 import. No matter what, once you get the long service medal you can easily reach level 30 long before the end of the game.
