She's obviously been blessed with 'ample bosoms,' why not strut her stuff a little?
Agreed, I don't know whats going on with all these Samara haters.
The clothing change is so that you can use any person in your party you want without having to worry about having their specific armor type and a suit for each of them, its the same reason that any of your squad can use all the weapons you pick up without needing duplicates. It had to be changed to this because they removed the inventory system because a few people complained about it in ME1.

Is it really prudish to want your squadmates to be properly armored? I get that Cerberus doesn't have the same uniform regs that the Alliance has, but... it seems foolish to send people out into battle their skivvies. I'm not saying the outfits should be trashed, I just wish we'd had an option to change them, or at least get them in armor when they leave the ship.
Secondly, why assume that everyone who doesn't want Samara or Jack running around half naked is a prude? That would be like someone saying that everyone who likes the outfits is a skank. In other words, it's an unfair assumption - and actually unnecessary in this conversation. If you don't have an issue with the outfits, fine, talk about that, but don't start calling people names.

Definately has to do with the age
thing...think of all the Matriarchs we've seen..even the bartender at
the bar in Illium had a cleavage thing going. Also, look at Aria..she
definately had a cleavage outfit going on. Look at the younger Asari
they tend to cover up and not express themselves the way Matriarchs
do(minus the strippers). But all and all... the outfit wasn't too
bad... but yeah there should of been a ship clothes and battle
armor.
Agreed, it seems to be culturally fitting. The outfit itself isn't too bad (and DOES have a strawberry texture, haha) for ship clothes - but for battle? Seems weak.

Grunt, Shepard, zaeed all wear heavy armors since they are in your face type of guys. Tali and mordan needs light armor, as tech you should have room to carry things, pockets etc. Tali even tells you in the game how her suit has more pocket then it looks like lol.

Whos to say what they are wearing is not armor?
If everyone looks more closely at Tali's "armor" you'll notice it resembles the armor that everybody wore in ME1. Those little circular nodes on her back are shield conduits and you'll notice a few of them on the current cast's getup.
Besides, armor is ugly and would detract from the character that your squad represents. Do you really want to see Jack in Ashely's old pink armor? That would be more silly than Jack is now.

Man, I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't have a problem with Samara's outfit, but even Ashley wearing her strongest armor had it pretty snug around her body.

(How could anyone complain about Samara being dressed like that? I am a woman and even I think she is sexy as hell!)
It strains credibility. I mean, it's like a bullseye right in the middle of her center of mass. It's practically begging for some merc or geth or whatever to shoot her cleavage, penetrating to her heart, and killing her instantly if her shields are down.
Also, high heels have no place in a situation where you might find yourself running anywhere. Combat is a situation where you are very likely to end up running. Anyone who's worn high heels knows how hard it is to run in them, amirite?
It feels like my FemShep is the only female character in the game who's actually concerned about getting shot. Full armor from head to toe, ergonomically designed boots allowing for easy running, a willingness to use a fully sealed helmet rather than a simple breathmask in low or no-atmosphere situations...
And don't even get me started on Miranda's skanksuit. If I had my way she'd be tooting around in Cerberus Assault Armor. Jacob too.
Edit: And my FemShep is an adept too, but even she's wearing heavy armor like a rational person in a world where automatic firearms are the preferred weapon.

i always thought her armor made her stomach protrude too much (made her look almost pregnant) and pulled her boobs to the side (which made her look kinda saggy). but on another note, "bull ******" describes her personality even more than her appearance.

Hopefully they'll rectify this in ME3. Custom N7 armor (probably minus the logo) for all squaddies.

P.S. The female uniforms from ME1 & of quarins are quite "snug" anyway.

Naked Raiden from MG2.While asari are nice to look at, the armor on/off of ME1 seemed appropiate. I not asking to bring back the horrible item system from ME1, but for more realism, they could have given each person a default combat suit. Garrus, Zaeed, & Tali have full body suits, why can't every1 else? Garrus & Zaeed just have to put on a helmet, but a breather mask in a near vaccum? Biotic or not, what about when they are knocked out?

Well custom armors for 11+ members of a team is a bit too much work, so I'd understand if they'd just settle for a alternate full-armor custome.Schneidend wrote...
What this really comes down to is that Bioware underestimated Mass Effect fanatics. Just like they didn't think we'd want a Tali romance in the first game, they didn't think anybody would want to customize the armor for 11 squadmates. Wrong.
Hopefully they'll rectify this in ME3. Custom N7 armor (probably minus the logo) for all squaddies.
Now, don't even get me started on this who alternate "custome" ruse... That's just the most lazy and disappointing thing they can do...

Maybe they underestimated you, but they didn't underestimate me. I, personally, don't have any big issues with the outfits for each of the team members. As someone posted earlier, each of them is wearing an outfit that more or less conforms to the type of person they are and how they fight.
However, I will concede that it would have been nice on missions where the team was working in hazardous conditions (poor quality atmosphere or no atmosphere) that they would have put all squad members into some sort of environmental suit for protection.

Yeah I kept waiting for Garrus' armor to be repaired or replaced... even the loyalty armor seemed to have a hole in it. I know Cerberus spent tons of money to bring Shep back, but they can't afford a basic armor repair?

However, I do agree with the posters that wish that all characters, both Shepard and squadmates, would be wearing battle appropriate armor.
Jack is practically naked, which means a little shrapnel could take her out, let alone getting shot. Hell, she's at risk of hurting herself from unloading a hot thermal clip and having it hit her chest.
