May I remind you Zaeed has one of his arms dangling free and Garrus has a giant hole through his armor...

Yeah I kept waiting for Garrus' armor to be repaired or replaced... even the loyalty armor seemed to have a hole in it.  I know Cerberus spent tons of money to bring Shep back, but they can't afford a basic armor repair?

Well they are supposed to be a bunch of racists I guess.  ^^;

Also, Samara can wear whatever she wants I don't care. :-P  I really like the almost samurai texture to her armor it really seems to fit with the whole justicar thing.

You know, yes she was underdressed. A Warrior Monk having Sex appeal. That is so stupid.... but is it? Last I check she was not a 17 century human. You think Asari have the same cultural taboos that humans do? Yes, even in ME1 there indications that some Matriachs still dress sexy like. Asari have a reputation of being promiscious. Though the reputation is ill founded and not true, it does originate for a reason. Showing off their sex appeal could possible be just said reason.

No. She is hot and sexy. Leave her be! Ashley Williams is enough bull ****** for one trilogy.

Man, I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't have a problem with Samara's outfit, but even Ashley wearing her strongest armor had it pretty snug around her body.

i always thought her armor made her stomach protrude too much (made her look almost pregnant) and pulled her boobs to the side (which made her look kinda saggy). but on another note, "bull ******" describes her personality even more than her appearance.

Her stomach "protruding"? Yeah, all ladies have that. In order to get rid of that you basically have to be anorexic.

I have a bigger problem with the high heels than her cleavage. I mean, her boobs are pretty ridiculous, but wearing high heels just cannot help in combat. Her feet must be mangled all to hell after 900 years of that.

Meh, so did Benezia. Its an Asari thing. However, that doesn't give Miranda an excuse.

If you've got it, flaunt it. Might distract the three armed idiots you just walked in on long enough for you to turn them into biotic pretzels...

Was a nice outfit, design-wise, but it did make her look a bit like a strawberry in awesome heels... if it zipped all the way up and that high collar closed, damn would it look good. +4 Fetish Powers ;)

Fashion choices aside for any character, if BW is going for "realism", the clothing/armor debate is very valid. Clothes of your choice on ship/in town outside of battle is fine, but skin exposure in a hostile environment (in a near vacuum/poisonous), that's pushing the envelope. Biotics aside as well, your enemies in ME2, biotics included, had armor ON in hostile environments. The characters can be nude if they want, outside of battle or in a normally uninhabitable environment.

I am a well-adjusted, straight male in a committed relationship with my gf of four years.

I like watching cg boobies and cleavage. Keep it up, Bioware.

Maybe they underestimated you, but they didn't underestimate me. I, personally, don't have any big issues with the outfits for each of the team members. As someone posted earlier, each of them is wearing an outfit that more or less conforms to the type of person they are and how they fight.

However, I will concede that it would have been nice on missions where the team was working in hazardous conditions (poor quality atmosphere or no atmosphere) that they would have put all squad members into some sort of environmental suit for protection.

I don't have any major issues with the squaddy outfits, either. I would just VASTLY prefer custom armor for them.

I was merely commenting on the fact that Bioware assumed custom armor for 11 squadmates was too much and would bore everybody to death, and that's part of why the squaddies don't have custom armor.

I don't think I would mind having a warrior monk in panties. Also long as she doesn't suck on the battle frield and who says old ladies can't be hot!

I thought Samara's outfit was fine, though I much preferred the loyalty black to the original red.

Black is better.

I am strangely reminded of Samurai armor for some reason every time I see her outfit.

Good looking chicks wearing no armor on a battlefield have a disturbing tendency to turn into dead good looking chicks.

She a worrier monk in a race that's all female. I don't think Asari care about clevage.
Also, I surpised this is not a" Jack put on clothes" thread.

Rangers and rogues wear very little armor compared to front-line infantry. They don't turn into dead people simply because they're not wearing "Super Heavy Front-line Crusader +20 Defense Armor version 3".

I'm a female and I thought her outfit looked great on her. She looked tasteful and real...unlike Miranda who looks like a blow-up doll replacement that would be your best bet as an emergency flotation device should the normandy crash land in an ocean...

plus Samara is never really exploited...there aren't all these random ass/boob shots taking up her screen time...

Might be a simple take on the matter, but most characters in 2 are less soldiers and more superheroes than in 1. So in the same way i've never complained about Wonder Woman or Ms Marvel clothes, i will not complain about Samara's.

Or about Thane going Bruce Lee when idle for what matters, or Legion having a huge hole in the chest exposing christmas lights, is all fun

...Are you serious? No, really.

Have you ever seen Jack? She's nude from the waist up and only has a leather strap covering her nipples. Seriously, why are you whining about Samara when there are bigger fish to fry with righteous indignation?

Luckily, Samara is not good looking.

HEY SAMARA, MORGAN WEBB CALLED, SHE WANTS HER HUGE MANJAW BACK!

Seriously Bioware - I love you guys. But what is with this cleavage? High heels? The woman is supposedly a warrior monk past her 'maiden days' and yet she galavants in a stripper's latex suit.

Anyone else think Samara should be wearing a robe or at least some actual armor?  Just kind of bothered me whenever I saw her in it.

To quote the OP: Why?!
She's wearing powerful and flexable studded leather armor, which is likely of masterwork quality.
Meaning a full +3 to her armor class, and not check penalty!

hmm well, see it like this.
only reason they have vest in real life if they gonna assult a building. other the vest not gonna do much good.
why sudden be anything other in ME2, armor means being slow, being slow means being more easy to snipers, or general fire.
