Samara - Put Some Clothes On.

Miranda's outfit makes sense (minus the heels) because she even tells you she was made perfect and uses her looks. Jack's outfit is just idiotic.

these comments calling us 'prudes' really have me worried with what kind of short-sighted fans bioware has attracted. she could be naked on the ship for all i care; but when your fighting technology more advanced than anything else in the galaxy on a mission said to be suicide....practicallity comes before sex appeal i think.

Real life doesn't have mobile mass effect sheilds. Having infantry that remains effective after several direct shots instead of one would radically change military strategies, standards, and equipment.
Real life has no relavence.
If armor was useless, why would Shepard, even biotically strong adept Shepard, wear it? Only an idiot assumes their shields are infallable.

The only reason I wouldn't change Miranda's outfit is that you'd miss out on one of the funniest bits in game when you take Jack along on her loyalty mission.
Asari Merc: "Cerberus lets you **** around in that outfit?"
Jack: "Hey I like her! Are we still recruiting?"

Seriously Bioware - I love you guys. But what is with this cleavage? High heels? The woman is supposedly a warrior monk past her 'maiden days' and yet she galavants in a stripper's latex suit.
Anyone else think Samara should be wearing a robe or at least some actual armor? Just kind of bothered me whenever I saw her in it.
BWaaahhaaaaa! Pre-conceived notions. Bwahhahhhhh!

I felt bad for Jack on Haestrom, especially as she died twice from sun exposure.

Jack running around near nude most of the time in harsh sub zero space? Let's put some effort into it Bioware.
Except that you never run around in sub zero space in this game. The closest you get is the geth space station, and that just lacks air, not heat - in space exhausting heat is much bigger problem than freezing. You're far more liable to fry to death on a spaceship if the systems fail.
And as for Samara, I've gotten the impression that the asari matriarchs are fond of showing their cleavage, while the younger asari dress in skintight but more covering outfits. I think it's supposed to symbolize maternity rather than sexuality - though it obviously doubles as fanservice to human players.
Please lets not try to argue that the suit is suitable for combat by making weak references to Asari Culture. You kill plenty of Asari warriors and commando's in the game, and they are wearing battle armor! In fact could anyone point out a female enemy that was in combat dressed like Samara or Miranda? Jentha, Jedore, Enyala, Wasea...etc were all dressed like they were ready for battle - and I could take them seriously.

Maybe so clothes don't get in the way while they use biotics?
Although I do agree, her cleavage and heels were weird.
If you dress Miranda and Samara in their black outfits I felt like I had
Bond girls following me around...
But then again Jacob, Miranda, Samara, and to a lesser extent Thane
all wore tight clothing and used biotics...
Maybe it's a biotic thing?

Exactly!!! Any1 who talks about pull the "Benzia" card, she is a matriarch, she doesn't even carry a gun, she thought her commandos or the geth would kill you. She went to Noveria as Saren's representative w/ commando followers, so she is exempt from being a counter example.

It is only Miranda's outfit I find to be ridiculous... it's incredibly thin while her alternative costume at least looks like an officer's uniform (though why heels?).

...see?
look. all i'm saying is that Samara is a total cougar and i appreciate bioware letting me see her beautiful blue breasts even if they didn't let my Shep fondle them

It's only ridiculous when Miranda has heels.. Samara is different. We don't know Asari culture but they seem far more sexually liberated and comfortable with their body then humans.
