Just to be clear though, would one have any problems if starting a new game without reinstalling, or would they encounter the same problems again due to the corrupted scripts?

If so ,then all my attempts have been wasted.
BTW i edited a few, now i dont know at all anymore if my game is broken. I havent played in the meantime so savegames are ok.

I have to say, i had the most insidious problem here.
The game worked almost perfectly for me after installation. I wasn't actually able to use it, as steam and MSSQL didn't get along, etc. The only issue was the fact that I could not advance character plots with anybody. No matter how much Morrigan, Sten, and Leliana liked me, their plots would not advance in dialogue. Morrigan had 100% approval and would not even teach me to be a shapeshifter........
I've essentially decided to just delete every remnant of the game and reinstall...having preserved my save games that is....
Well i've got the same problem and i haven found any solution to that

Ok I borked my game a couple of times now by using the toolset, however I have come upon an easy fix which seems to resolve all issues with the game.
After doing any kind of export with the toolset go to .\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\packages\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\core\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\override and delete the - toolsetexport - folder.
Doing this restored my game to normal functionality and I also get to keep what I've created with the toolset.
The module I'm working on currently causes my party to function incorrectly. Most of the time I won't be able to travel with my party members or they just dissapear randomly.
After I export my module I do exactly this and everything functions properly.

What broke? Party members would not join my party, or they would always be in my party no mater what. I could not add anyone via the party selection screen either. Cutscenes were completely broken on all the origins as well.

I've received a number of private messages from folks looking for the GEN_*_RECRUITED values to fix their saves. These are located in the gen00pt_party resource in the toolset, but for convenience, here's a complete list:
GEN_ALISTAIR_RECRUITED 0
GEN_DOG_RECRUITED 1
GEN_LELIANA_RECRUITED 4
GEN_MORRIGAN_RECRUITED 5
GEN_OGHREN_RECRUITED 6
GEN_SHALE_RECRUITED 7
GEN_WYNNE_RECRUITED 8
GEN_ZEVRAN_RECRUITED 9
GEN_LOGHAIN_RECRUITED 10
GEN_STEN_RECRUITED 13
What I'm still confused about after reading a re-reading Eizneckam's earlier posts is how to get these strings (above) into something like this: 0010 0000 1000 0110 0100 0000 0011 0011

I have tried the suggestions on this thread but they have not helped. Also uninstalled my game and toolset multiple times.
Even if you try certain fixes suggested in this thread, if you saved a game while it was broken even if the game auto saved itself, then every save after that will be ruined even if you reinstall the game. So if you are keeping your saved games in the reinstall then you need to go to a save before you loaded your game after the first changes you made with the toolset.
Of course this is from my experience though and may not work for you. I am certain though that some game breaks can only be fixed by reloading to a saved game prior to ever playing after the toolset damaged your game.

My only issue now is that I have one bizarre issue with Alistair. His dialog works fine, he works in combat.. but he does not have access to the sword shield powerset or the two handed powerset.
Anyone have any guesses as to why this would be? Perhaps a way to add them back?
This is my second runthrough of the game, so I don't mind hacking it together as well as I can to be able to keep playing.

New version of the toolset and its core resources is coming along. In the meantime I put together a quick page on the wiki summarizing what's known about this bug: http://social.biowar...p/Plot_GUID_bug
Thanks for keeping us in the loop there Bryan. I got an awesome Dark Morrigan here - I think it's wrong but I can't seem to remember her portrait being normal. I've jacked up my relationship with Leliani in the past before too. Hopefully we'll be able to export out of the toolset in the next few iterations with separate dependencies rather than overriding the cores.

Thanks. I tried that as well, but it still doesn't work. And I still can't start a new game...

Problem I have at the moment is I get "EditorGff40: Out of memory" error whenever I try and edit one of my save game files. I have 4GB of RAM on my system and in the toolset status bar it says 'Toolset Memory Usage 602MB". Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I also had a quick play with the toolkit and my saves are corrupted. Unfortunately I don't have any uncorrupted saves and I'm right at the end of the game so I'm trying to fix my save game files.

I had the same issue and I have 8GB of RAM. For some reason closing the toolset and trying again worked for me. After I opened the save it the bar said it was using 3.41 GB. I don't really get how it can be using that much. I know it isn't much help... but just in case you didn't try it. Also, you might benefit from rebooting and only opening the toolset when it boots up.

I've tried rebooting and tried increasing my virtual memory up to 10 GB but still get the out of memory error. My toolset memory usage also says 3.41 GB after trying to open the file. My saves are around 10 MB so no idea why the editor is using so much RAM trying to open them.
Edit: I managed to finish the game without fixing my save file. I had to speak to Leliana who was missing from my party and ask her to join again. After that I ended up stuck behind some scenery but managed to switch party members to unstick myself. The game got a bit confused with someone I had killed still talking in the cutscenes but at least I managed to play through to the end.

EDIT: Also I have developer console enabled, if that's of any consequence.
EDIT_2: I removed -enabledirectorconsole and my new game problem has been fixed. So look for that, too.
