nope the council will not believe me in the end, because they will not live long enough too see the end..... If the reaper will not kill them I will do it myself (if I get the option that is)

Oooh, the idea of Kaidan/Ashley being a spectre to track Shepard down. LOL, that should lead the way to great make-up sex if nothing else.

Ha! Well, I'm guessing some of the council will eventually come around, but the turian will probably be making air quotes right up until he's staring Harbinger in the face.

"Ah, yes, you're 'supposedly' some sort of 'reaper,' but how do I know you're really what you 'say' you are and not just my own fear-induced hallucinations?"

To cut the council some slack, they did eventually believe Shepard about Saren after getting sufficient evidence (how an audio record by some stray Quarian can possibly count as irrefutible evidence is another topic), so they may eventually recognize the Reaper thread.

Also one has to admit that they act pretty lenient towards a former Spectre who is now working for a dangerous terrorist group and continuously spouts wild conspiracy theories (from their point of view).

Cerberus + Shepard = Dead Reapers

Council = Dead Galaxy

I'd go with Cerby and Shep.

the second i read 'socialist' in your post, you lost any legitimacy as a poster you had, hahaha.

I guess the evil socialist US who won the second world war (government seized control of heavy industry, telegraphs, railroads, merchant shipping...) was weak and ineffective too!

Yes, because the council have been constantly showing off this socialist side, whilst humming red army hymms and waving **** banners...

But maybe the Citadel affects their minds as regards the Reapers?

When mile long machines start ripping holes out of the citadel they'll assume they have a roach problem.

You are a spectre, you are the frist and last line of defense. The reaper's are a covert opt mission there secret is your way of protecting the galaxy. Its why the story of them changing the details stays secret. Think about it and imagine if in are world little grey men actually existed and one day they made contact with earth how would you react and you then realized another races exist and they are smarter than me. They mastered space flight and could probably nuke my plane with one ship if I pissed then off. Plus all the religious people would flip their wigs trying to come up with new explanations or even start holy wars.

This is basically the same idea just you already got past the I met the grey alien and found out he was actually friendly. Well the reapers are the evil grey alien and they aren't going to be your friend. Seriously think about this!

I would seriously not be surprised if in the end you take out the Reapers but nobody except weirdos believe you. They all think you are insane and the news report "The humanity's first council has been admitted to the mental hospital today, after telling the media that he saved the galaxy. The condition is said to be deteriorating".

The Council has always disbelieved the Reaper theory. Do you think they will become convinced in ME3 or will Shepard save the galaxy without their help while the Council still thinks it was just vivid imagination?

I always did sort of like those stories where the hero saves the world and nobody notices.  It is like the ultimate heroic act.  So...maybe the Alliance and the others will still not think you did anything.  You will simply be known as the guy who stopped Saren and the Geth for the rest of your life.

I think it is a little bizarre that the Council gets to be the goat for everybody.  Your own people, the Alliance, don't believe you and neither do the Asari, Salarian, or Turian governments.  For the Salarians to drop the ball so badly is rather bizarre...unless they are lying...

I think the Turian wants to protect the reputation of his race, no matter what. A Turian spectre could not have worked with machines trying to wipe out all organic life... The Asari probably really does not believe you thinking that Saren made the story up to control the Geth while the Salarian does not want to tarnish his reputation.

Or they are mind-controlled by the Citadel. It is, after all, a Reaper construction.

Indeed. Methinks the poster is one of these 12 year olds who think weak politicians are socialists/liberals (they don't seem to see the difference) and all strong politicians are not.

Hey, socialist does not equal weak minded!

I said Socialist AND weak-minded. Not that Socialist = weak-minded.

But while we're on the subject, that is a path that will LEAD to weakness and stagnation, it perverts the natural order, which is Darwinian Chaos. In a perfect world, it would work, if we lacked individuality, it would work, but it isn't that way.

This isn't a political discussion topic. So I say let's stop posting here.

Also, I fail to see how socialism leads to weakness, stagnation, and "Dawrinian Chaos." But not here.

In the United States it is used to insult left wing politicians.  So it means: you are bad, very very bad and has nothing to do with actual socialism most of the time.

Ok, the thing is the OP that brought the socialist theme in the thread was right.

Socialism is againts free thinking and free ideas, and as such creates stagnation  from sticking to the status quo, even when better ways are available.
