Yes. It will be five dollar DLC (one quest per character) that you won't be able to use in Awakening.

It'd be a shame if they didn't. At the end of my last game, I had Zevran with me, helping to rebuild the Grey Wardens, and I really don't understand why the expansion isn't a seamless transition from the original game. Some characters could be naturally whittled away (Wynne, Alistair, Morrigan, Shale, Sten, etc...) but why not let a love interest like Zevran or Leliana return?

I like that my character has his or her own story and it'll be kind of tough to just say "Well, Zev's gone now and you're alone, let's go pal." (Yes, it was a male human noble with Zevran)

Little-known fact: Sandal didn't actually kill all those Darkspawn himself, regardless of what people may assume. Instead, he sicced his pack of highly trained attack nugs on them. The Darkspawn never stood a chance.

Here, here! If and when Leliana does return, in DA2 or whichever, I can assume they won't be giving her a total personality transplant in an effort to make her a character.
