Is it just me or is the site acting bonkers today.

Thread pages are blank for like 8 reloads.
Posts show up an hours after posted.
Pages out of order.
WRONG POST error messages.

Am I the only one?

Part of this may be a consequence of the maintenance earlier today, part is the servers' inability to keep up with all the traffic.

The custom avatars you see are an exploit of how DA uploads character portraits. BioWare has not commented on this practice but the official word is that custom avatars -- with good reason -- are not allowed.

Why are they not allowed? What are the good reasons?

All I know is that I get slightly confused seeing the same faces all over the place. That and I want to use my own creations. Please enlighten me.<3

I have no knowledge of BioWare's stance on custom avatars.

I imagine BioWare's afraid of people using offensive images.  Though they already have moderators to deal with that content on the forum.

Couldn't they just post an announcement that anyone caught with a penis avatar will be perma-banned? That should be a pretty serious deterrent.
